Noble Dark Depths

Noble

KorApprentice

Description

I am making a series of decks that I believe are unfair to play against in the Noble format. The format was created by graft, feel free to check it out at Introducing Noble: the Format and try making a deck of your own. I am creating these lists in hope of establishing a Ban List for the format.

The uncommons in this deck are 3x Vampire Hexmage and 1x Lightning Greaves. The Ban Target is Dark Depths.

Wind ZendikonMTG Card: Wind Zendikon + Fate TransferMTG Card: Fate Transfer for redundancy eh? Throw in a couple of Expedition MapMTG Card: Expedition Maps and game=over. Dark DepthsMTG Card: Dark Depths absolutely needs the ban hammer.

You can't use Expedition MapMTG Card: Expedition Map to grab Dark DepthsMTG Card: Dark Depths because it is in the Noble Zone :)

Apparently I went full derp on that Expedition MapMTG Card: Expedition Map comment.

UnsummonMTG Card: Unsummon and the likes do get rid of the marit lage token, but hand disruption or DispelMTG Card: Dispel protects it. I think it's too consistent. I could be wrong.

but Fate TransferMTG Card: Fate Transfer wouldn't work on Dark DepthsMTG Card: Dark Depths as it is not a creature. Vampire HexmageMTG Card: Vampire Hexmage would work

The goal is to use Vampire Hexmage to remove the ice counters from Dark Depths , then equip the Marit Lage token with Lightning Greaves and swing for the win as early as turn 2. Shred Memory and Muddle the Mixture tutor for hexmage or greaves, Dark Ritual powers the combo out early. If that plan fails you use Wind Zendikon to turn Dark Depths into a creature, and use Fate Transfer to move the ice counters onto another creature (your opponent's creature, for example), then equip greaves and swing for the win.
