Free hugs can be dangerous

Overview and Intro

Kynaios and Tiro are an incredible fusion between card advantage and ramp! Even better they hide behind the idea of being a "Group Hug" commander so opponents will gladly keep him on the field. This deck focussed on abusing kynaios and Tiro's value engine while maintaining a fun group hug attitude (depending on how competitively you play it). This deck has 3 overarching themes: land fall, land sacrifice and politics/ enabler/ group-hug.

Landfall

Kynaios and Tiro are great at pumping out lands so why not play some landfall creatures. The lands played in this deck are geared towards getting as many land drops per turn. Cards like Evolving Wilds and Windswept Heath trigger landfall twice so try to use them when you have creatures such as Admonition Angel, Rampaging Baloths etc. on the battle field.

Land Sacrifice

This section ties in very well with the landfall theme. Scapeshift and other land sac/ recur cards can trigger landfall like there's no tomorrow. Furthermore, sacking lands with Zuran Orb and the like enable you to do something with the huge amount of lands you'll be playing. Moreover, Titania, Protector of Argoth builds a massive army in seconds with the right cards on the battlefield and once you have sacked your lands there are multiple ways to recur them for even more landfall!!

Group Hug

The group hug element to this deck is key for politics and board control. In my experience playing various group hug decks (I have a Phelddagrifdeck) I find it is way more effective to provide a specific type of support then try to please everyone. This deck chooses to support all players by allowing them to play multiple lands which people love. However, giving people the ability to play multiple lands gives your opponents value for two or three turns maximum. After about two turns your opponents will not be holding more than two lands in hand (unless they are playing a deck similar to your own), you can benefit off this with the multiple ways within this deck to refill your hand with lands. Other key political cards out creatures such as Edric, Spymaster of Trest and Gahiji, Honored One which subtly encourage your opponents to attack each other allowing you to prolong the game, thus giving you the opportunity to gain more and more card and land advantage over time.

General Tips and Advice

When playing this deck I strongly encourage you to remain relatively passive, not posing too much of a threat just gaining a bit of card advantage here and a couple of landfall triggers there. Talking about landfall triggers, lands such as fetches and panoramas don't have to be used instantly. SAVE those lands until you have a landfall triggers on the field to build an army in seconds or completely take control of the game. Moreover, this deck can completely swing the game in your favour in one turn (if you play your cards right) like I said before, so play passive early game and decimate your opponents when they least expect it!!

There are two types of hugs in this world...
