Sakashima's Student isn't modern legal, and mistblade shinobi isn't as good as using throat slitter and ninja of the deep hours. i simply do not have enough room for it. tormented soul looks nice, but i'd rather use creatures that have keyword evasions like flying and skulk, so they can still be used to block (especially 1/1 flyers, since they can block a large variety of creatures)

That makes sense on why I was unfamiliar with Sakashima's Student. Mistblade Shinobi comes down a turn earlier than Throat Slitter(assuming you have a t1 creature) but has different restrictions. Nether Traitor can't block either and Vampire Cutthroat doesn't stack up to your other cards in the deck. Then again, if you are using creatures to block you aren't maximizing the potential of Ninjutsu and more specifically Throat Slitter and Mistblade Shinobi.

im not using the creatures to block specifically, but once i get enough ninja stuff out and have used them for value, being able to use the ninjutsu enablers to chump or better beat your opponent with them (of which all but venser have a form of evasion). its just a later game value thing.
mistblade shinobi's ability is useful, but in mose cases, using venser is better, although slower, you get a lot of value from using vendilion clique or venser for ninjutsu.
also, in my opinion, mistblade shinobi reveals my strategy all to soon. if i attack with a 1/1, my opponent would be suspicious that i have some sort of combat trick or removal if they block, but once they figure out im playing ninjas, then they would block every creature if they can. thats why i use slower ninjas, so i can surprise them with something like Throat Slitter, ninja of the deep hours, or higure himself.
which is why i updated my creatures, you're right nether traitor can't block, put in another vendilion clique and some spellstutter sprite. how does it look?

I would suggest some amount of Relic of Progenitus or Grafdigger's Cage in the sideboard. They are generally better than the macabre that you currently have, although the macabre has the capacity to help with your gameplan.

thank you! i completely forgot about needing graveyard hate sideboard, yeah i'll probably keep macabre because flying and helps with spellstutter sprite, is 1 cage enough?
