So this started out as a goofy "tribal" deck with all the Tims printed over the years (For those under 30, "Tim" was one of the earliest card nicknames, for Prodigal Sorcerer back in Alpha). WotC returned to the theme often, so there's a decent sized "tribe" of mostly-wizardly creatures that tap to do 1 damage to any target.

(Part of the fun was digging up the REALLY obscure ones, though, like Wu Longbowman and Capricious Sorcerer - even with the timing limitations of the Portal series.

Somehow, I found out that fielding an army of fragile creatures that all tap to do 1 damage to any target to be a somewhat unreliable path to victory in a multiplayer Commander game. Adding some equipment that provides deathtouch (Basilisk Collar, Gorgon's Head, Quietus Spike) at least gave me some reliable means of controlling the battlefield. But I realized the only way to reliably win games was going to require a means of recursively untapping one or more Tims over and over and over.

A few means of doing this are obvious (Paradox Engine + any number of cards), some are a little more obtuse ( Banishing Knack or Retraction Helix or Man-o'-War or Shrieking Drake plus Intruder Alarm or the afforementioned Paradox Engine).

There's a lot of fun little synergies in the deck. Lobber Crew or Nettle Drone plus Curiosity, Tandem Lookout, or especially Sigil of Sleep .

Nin, the Pain Artist can provide tremendous card advantage just beating herself up, but of course it's more fun to share the pain via a Stuffy Doll.
