I want badly for Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh to work in standard, so this is my attempt at a deck that makes him. Naturally, it's in a strong Grixis control shell. It's got a couple of other possible win conditions in on the way to the 7 lands you need to cast Bolas. Of course a well-timed Torrential Gearhulk turns into a beatdown machine, and Metallurgic Summonings can tip the field of battle in your favor as you simultaneously deny your opponent's creatures' right to exist. I see the possibility for a nice synergy with a Baral, Chief of Compliance + The Locust God combo, and I like running Fiery Temper more than Magma Spray for the chance to madness it for 3 damage at a cost of only 1 mana off a Baral discard. So, I'd love to get Bolas going but hopefully this take makes it possible to get a win before even needing to get to him. This is a first draft and any input is most welcome.
