for this combo you need 1 zendikar/lotus-cobra.jpgLotus Cobra, 1 worldwake/tideforce-elemental.jpgTideforce Elemental, 1 worldwake/ruin-ghost.jpgRuin Ghost, and 1 plains. So inorder for this to work you need to have your worldwake/ruin-ghost.jpgRuin Ghost "phase" out your land then it comes back in triggering landfall so zendikar/lotus-cobra.jpgLotus Cobra adds blue to your mana pool then you use worldwake/tideforce-elemental.jpgTideforce Elemental to untap your ruin ghost then you can repeat the prosess an infinate number of times causing infinate lanfall.

That's way too awesome to be possible. But there it is. :O
I love the mill possibilities with Hedron Crab, you could just mill every opponent to death in one turn! That's wild.
why does WoC have to ruin the game by putting infinite combos right in the middle of the set? they dont even wait a few sets.
Wow, nice find. Very interesting.
this usually gets off turn 4 or 5
Coat of arms has like, 0 targets...
oh wait birds? nvm!
yup the birds and the beasts just incase they find a way to interupt the combo half way through
2 cobra's and you have infinite mana....
worldwake/comet-storm.jpgComet Storm/2010-core-set/fireball.jpgFireball for the win?
ok so i need a side board for this deck to work do you guys have any suggestions
I'd consider maybe sideboarding something for each color.
Blue counterspells or bounce spells White removal, or a few Oblivion Rings Green, Vines of Vastwood might help your critters stay on the table. You could also consider Harrow to speed up land drops (if the deck seems too slow) or as a landfall trigger.
well i was thinking conflux/path-to-exile.jpgPath to Exile but that will cause my opponent to go faster do you guys know of anyways around them accelerating past me with paths
well, i would say zendikar/eldrazi-monument.jpgEldrazi Monument since you can have infinite tokens...
as for removal...you're running blue, you could path/trap.. it usually stalls people from using the search aspect.
i see wht you mean with that but should i throw in the zendikar/archive-trap.jpgArchive Trap too. And well infinate tokens has like one weakness and that is some form of tenth-edition/wrath-of-god.jpgWrath of God so zendikar/eldrazi-monument.jpgEldrazi Monument is a pretty nice defence against that
throw in classic-sixth-edition/snake-basket.jpgSnake Basket to help out 2010-core-set/coat-of-arms.jpgCoat of Arms and effectively throw out infinite 1/1 green creatures, but why stop there? add in future-sight/akromas-memorial.jpgAkroma's Memorial and beef them up beyond belief
quiller, as a parallel, i'm tossing this combo into a deck, [comb] its private still, but i added you to the share list.
wow i like it i never thought of worldwake/admonition-angel.jpgAdmonition Angel for this deck it looks like a really good sideboard card and id like to and i would like to thank all of the people who helped me perfect this deck i will be sure to let you know how it works
so just a thought should i throw in some counter spells like zendikar/mindbreak-trap.jpgMindbreak Trap just incase someone decides to zendikar/sadistic-sacrament.jpgSadistic Sacrament my entire combo?
Run 2010-core-set/negate.jpgNegates. You'll need some sort of block if someone tries to remove your creatures with zendikar/day-of-judgment.jpgDay of Judgment or decides to be sneaky and play zendikar/vines-of-vastwood.jpgVines of Vastwood on your own worldwake/ruin-ghost.jpgRuin Ghost to stop your combo in a non-aggro sort of way.
I really like this combo, I hope you dont mind if I use it in a deck that I am building as well.
I'll keep it private and let you see what I'm doing. :)
just so you guys know i would acctually like it when you use my deck ideas i like being the start of trends espcially one like this i can see this getting played as a competitive deck so every one feel free to use this combo and anyother combo i post on this webstie
i'll open mine up after i build it, no worries. Some of my local players are on here.
To streamline this deck and make it the most effective, I would :
Cut the zendikar/rampaging-baloths.jpgRampaging Baloths.
Cut the 2010-core-set/coat-of-arms.jpgCoat of Arms.
Sideboard the zendikar/whiplash-trap.jpgWhiplash Trap. Sideboard the zendikar/emeria-angel.jpgEmeria Angel. Sideboard the zendikar/grazing-gladehart.jpgGrazing Gladehart.
They're cool, and they help the deck show off, but they're not instant win conditions for the combo (barring Infinite Life, but you won't win for having it, it just makes your job easier).
What am I gutting all of these cards for?
1) Card drawing. This is a combo; you need specific cards to make this work. The more cards you have or can draw, the better chance you'll have at triggering it.
My recommendations : 2010-core-set/jace-beleren.jpgJace Beleren, [Mysteries of the Deep], or even [Ponder].
2) Removal/Stall. If they have efficient removal of their own or big creatures taking bites out of your ass, it's going to get in the way of firing your combo off. The 2010-core-set/safe-passage.jpgSafe Passage helps with most damage based removal, like 2010-core-set/lightning-bolt.jpgLightning Bolt et al, but it doesn't stop zendikar/grappling-hook.jpgGrappling Hook, or zendikar/gatekeeper-of-malakir.jpgGatekeeper of Malakir. To this end, I'd highly, highly recommend mainboarding those conflux/path-to-exile.jpgPath to Exile, as well as zendikar/narrow-escape.jpgNarrow Escape. Sometimes jerking your creature back to your hand is the best option.
3) Mana Accel. The more mana you have on hand, the easier it'll be to play your combo pieces. Thankfully, green has buckets of this, so choose whatever you fancy. Personally, I like to risk the zendikar/harrow.jpgHarrow and zendikar/khalni-heart-expedition.jpgKhalni Heart Expedition combo, but in a deck already trying to get off a combo, you might want to go for something more stable.
I love combos, especially infinite ones, so I like where this is going. If you want to really start a trend with it though, focus on making it win instead of showing off what you can do with the mechanics.
ok so your saying that i should make the deck less pretty and start using cards like worldwake/jace_the_mind_sculptor.jpgJace, the Mind Sculptor for draw and cards that would boounce or destroy creatures that get in the way by making me lose some of my infinate but still keeping the ideas behind the deck well what kinds of blue green or white kill spells because i have a few ideas but im not quite sure how they would work im ganna test this deck out in a tournement before i make anymore major changes but i kind of understand what you are saying
So you drop a plains, generate a blue, tap the plains, generate a white, tap the ghost and use the white to exile the land, then use the blue and tap the elemental to untap the ghost, then the land comes back in (untapped) and untaps the elemental, and you're back to the beginning again. I like it.
yes that is exactly how it works and this combo just so you all know leaves everything you have untapped
ok so i set up a maybe board with the stuff that either you guys or some of my friends said i should use i would like some feedback on any of these good or bad i honestly just want some advise
I like the Ideas here, but If you run Novablast, run Eldrazi as well.
Also, the archangel is great, but the cost is a bit high, but that's just me.
Paths are a good addition to practically any deck with white, like shards-of-alara/oblivion-ring.jpgOblivion Rings.
Mindbreak seems very situational.
As for the Leviathan, it also seems a bit high and feels like it would mess up your combo. Course, if you're using it to save your creatures, I feel like there are better options. In terms of offense...I can see the leviathan as a finisher, but not something you'd want to see every match.
ok yes it would mess up the combo but the angel could be played with summoning trap if i play novablast wurm i would put iot in my side board with eldrazi monument same with the angel i found that empyrial archangel is game winning with eldrazi because you cant lose it turns her into a shroud indestructable 2010-core-set/platinum-angel.jpgPlatinum Angel
ok, i opened mine up to the public with a rename..
Falling down the penrose stairs
My take on it
I'm pretty sure Zanven had it right, a lot of this stuff should get cut because it doesn't help you set up the combo. If you plan on playing this at a tournament, and if you just want it to WIN; the only cards that you care about are zendikar/lotus-cobra.jpgLotus Cobra, worldwake/ruin-ghost.jpgRuin Ghost, and zendikar/hedron-crab.jpgHedron Crab. That's GAME. If your goal is to make a fun casual deck then leave it as it is; but if you want it to be more competitive you need to cut some of the unnecessary bits in order to assure you hit the combo.
Whiplash Trap can peace out, Rampaging Baloths can hit the road, Gladehart can grab the bench (Sideboard); and maybe run 2 of emeria angel because the tokens can make decent blockers. If you really want to keep 2010-core-set/coat-of-arms.jpgCoat of Arms as an alt wincon that's fine, but I think it might be better served as a conflux/banefire.jpgBanefire or worldwake/comet-storm.jpgComet Storm.
Play card draw with worldwake/explore.jpgExplore, shards-of-alara/couriers-capsule.jpgCourier's Capsule, 2010-core-set/ponder.jpgPonder, worldwake/treasure-hunt.jpgTreasure Hunt, Etc.
Another decent card would be conflux/mark-of-asylum.jpgMark of Asylum
Last, combo decks tend to like a bit more land! maybe run 26-28 lands.
If you can manage to obtain enough mana via zendikar/lotus-cobra.jpgLotus Cobras, I'd suggest splashing in zendikar/ob-nixilis-the-fallen.jpgOb Nixilis, the Fallen. Any landfall with him has damage-dealing potential, especially if it's infinite.
zendikar/ob-nixilis-the-fallen.jpgOb Nixilis, the Fallen while good, is not worth the splash really. He's off color and cant be utilized in the deck if the combo isnt triggering. There are alt wins that work... could s/b one for fun if you really wanted.
Great Idea, but the deck needs work. You need a win condition not an Eye-glazer-o-matic. Zanven , kabrazell and Jimmer all have good ideas. Cards that go straight for the throat are you win con. Obie The Fallen, worldwake/cosis-ravager.jpgCosi's Ravager, zendikar/hedron-crab.jpgHedron Crab, zendikar/steppe-lynx.jpgSteppe Lynx or zendikar/windrider-eel.jpgWindrider Eel do great. If you want to make it amusing to watch you could use worldwake/admonition-angel.jpgAdmonition Angel, [Eternity Vessel] or other cards that pretty much guarantee a win rather than a direct win.
You definitely need the card draw or else your combo takes about the same amount of time it takes you to die.
what draw would you suggest, 2010-core-set/ponder.jpgPonder?
well i havent decided if i want it to be casual or competitive yet
heres what I have done with the combo: Snakefall
Here's another take on this deck; Tideforce Ghost Cobra.
wow this is starting to become a popular deck format :D
huge infinate combos like this are.. AWESOME catch!
know what though i'm surprised no one has abused cascade and treasure hunt... Lands End
I've been looking for an infinite combo in standard, but all the ones I found were too unruly. THANKS FOR FINDING THIS!!!
you can have almost the same effect with a conflux/knight-of-the-reliquary.jpgKnight of the Reliquary instead of the ruins ghost but it doesnt work as well
wait wait wait...does the plains come back into play tapped or untapped? tapped and you no longer have the combo...
no, Plains come into play untapped, like all basic lands. why wouldn't it?
i would like to thank you guys for making this the top recent deck
im talking about when it phases out from ghost
When it phases out from the ghost, it comes in untapped. It's basically like getting one more landfall without this setup.
yes this combo leaves everything untapped when it is finished so you can repeat it any number of times on your and your opponent's turn
Would worldwake/selective-memory.jpgSelective Memory be worthwhile to help you filter to the right cards? I'm a little nervous to use it for something like that, but it might be worth it..
Alternately, worldwake/amulet-of-vigor.jpgAmulet of Vigor could let you operate the combo with multicolor lands that come into play tapped, and might open up some other options for you as well.
Oh and maybe cascade to find combo pieces? alara-reborn/ardent-plea.jpgArdent Plea etc.
Ah worldwake/ruin-ghost.jpgRuin Ghost such an awesome card, imo the best card that came out of Worldwake >>
Anywho how bout adding some counterspells to protect your combo pieces from being removed. Or maybe zendikar/vines-of-vastwood.jpgVines of Vastwood?
i did actualy play this combo in a type two tuorenment i will post the deck soon it can in third it dies fast to tenth-edition/wrath-of-god.jpgWrath of God type cards
Be careful at the speed you play the combo pieces.
oh yeah if they see this comming it will be stopped imeaditly so watch out at what you are doing
But, the ghost and the elemental need to be out for at least a turn before you can use their abilities, making timing extremely important.
i got it off in most of the games that i played with it. here is the actual deck i played with in a tournement WWK infinate landfall competitive deck
a simple shards-of-alara/infest.jpgInfest ruins the day... and a 2010-core-set/lightning-bolt.jpgLightning Bolt or zendikar/disfigure.jpgDisfigure or conflux/path-to-exile.jpgPath to Exile.. hell even a 2010-core-set/unsummon.jpgUnsummon hurts, but it can be done. an zendikar/eldrazi-monument.jpgEldrazi Monument is nice, and with the token generation posibilities it can be pulled off but otherwise, it has its flaws, frail peices and such.. but its fun, and if it works, hilarious. stupid zendikar/lotus-cobra.jpgLotus Cobra costing 9-12$ each.
I thought of this combo too. It only really works if you opponent can't remove your creatures. All of the vital pieces have 1 toughness. [eldrazi monument stops the burn spells but black will work you with zendikar/marsh-casualties.jpgMarsh Casualties or gatekeeper. Pretty much any deck that has decent removal runs over this. One path stops it all. Generally they take out the elemental. zendikar/hedron-crab.jpgHedron Crab is the most realistic win condition. With zendikar/rampaging-baloths.jpgRampaging Baloths and zendikar/emeria-angel.jpgEmeria Angel great ones for another win condition. Even if it isn't infinite (just a W/U version) paying 1 mana for a 1/1 flier is amazing. I am playing this combo now and not very impressed with it. It screams johnny but fails to spike, and timmy is like WTF?
@xTURDYx
...And Vorthos is desperately trying to explain why a ghost is collaborating with a cobra and a water elemental to produce a perpetual motion dance routine.
...Well they did print a card in which a snake, a puppy and an elephant skip merrily onto the battlefield for 3GG. Why not make one that gives you a snake, an elemental, a spirit locked in a perpetual dance for 4WUG? Maybe they should split them into three seperate cards and make them all different rarities, so it's not to broken.
@ Zanven I love the idea of a combo screaming Johnny but failing to edit peak /edit. The image that it conjures is hilarious.
Just a note: I'd really recommend running 2-3 worldwake/sejiri-steppe.jpgSejiri Steppe. Yes, it'll cut into your plains count slightly, but a) that's why you have zendikar/marsh-flats.jpgMarsh Flats b) it lets worldwake/ruin-ghost.jpgRuin Ghost protect your combo pieces while you set up (as well as during the combo if you drop another).
