Nekusar's Old Fashioned Snake Oil

Commander / EDH Forcefeed UBR (Grixis)

Fenizrael

This deck has been in my main rotation since it came out. I’ve run various iterations and I think this is the most fun. People know what Nekusar does, so expect some groans and filthy looks from people as well as some hate.
Games don’t generally end well if you apply gradual constant pressure to players over time because then you end up with multiple players who are angry at the needling you give them, so it’s usually best to try and blast everybody to death in a turn or two after feeding people people free cards for a while to try and engender goodwill.
I specifically avoided many enchantment auras because Nekusar paints a big target on himself already, so enchanting him will just make him die faster - the ones I did put in are cheap and generally powerhouses in one way or another.
I also avoided tutors and infinite combos, because I wanted the deck to feel like it was instead relying on the heavy draw mechanics to draw into nice cards which I could keep laying down. I could definitely push the overall power-level up quite easily, but I enjoy the spirit of the deck as it is right now.

Updates Add

Took out the cards I put in last adjustment and replaced them with cards to push the overall cost down. I took out cards that I found were consistently not working for me across numerous games - cards that I always wanted to pass over in favour of other effects - cards like Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh (honestly was just in there because of the colours and because it’s a strong card), Thought Reflection (a bit too expensive), Duskmantle Seer (just never really does enough), and Primal Amulet  Flip (not enough spell slinging going on like there is in a Wort deck).

Have added cards to test like Eruth, Tormented Prophet (which unfortunately has the downside of turning off cards like Dream Halls), but also added cards like Wash Away, Swan Song, and Rapid Hybridization for interaction, and also added Sygg, River Cutthroat because I have no idea why that wasn’t in the deck in the first place.
