Wheel, Pain, & Combo Deck. Built around what Nekusar does best, taking what's normally a boon (card draw) and turning it into pain. Tries to control the board with counters and protect itself with a a bit of pillowfort. The ultimate goal is to set up pain sources and cycle wheels.

This started out as a budget deck but has slowly grown to its current state as I've acquired more powerful options to cope with a highly competitive environment. I believe I've done my due diligence and researched most of the strongest options for this deck but more information is always useful. I welcome any and all suggestions for improvement.

As a side note, I typically play in a multiplayer setting. I've been concerned that this deck may draw too much hate but so far that isn't the case because most of the decks in this group draw hate in their own way. I've also built this deck to win very quickly, by surprise to help mitigate this possibility.

COMBOS

Dream Halls + Library of Leng - This combo sets you up to cycle wheels, even if you have to use one wheel spell as fuel for the other. Discard to the library and redraw it.

Mind Over Matter + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind - Infinite draw combo.

Hive Mind + Any Wheel + Any Pain - Wheeling for draw seven with any pain effect on the field is multiplied by the number of players. With four people at the table and only Nekusar on the board, this means 28 damage to every opponent.

CONSIDERED CARDS

I'd love to include big EDH bombs like Mana Crypt, Mana Drain, or dual lands but I just can't afford them, unfortunately.

See Maybeboard for considered cards. These are things that I've considered including or I have included in the past but removed.

Things I've decided to not include:

Howling Mine and all similar effects, they are too slow and don't provide any control/give opponents card advantage.

Prosperity and all similar X cost cards, I'd rather just have wheels.
