I saw this format running around called "Noble" and I decided to give it a try with an old deck I had back from Odyssey.
Noble is similar to Commander in which this case you choose ANY rare/mythic rare as your "noble" and it starts in the command zone. You can cast it following normal rules for that card, etc etc. Your deck has to have at most 4 uncommons and all the rest commons. So it's very budget friendly. My favorite words.
If something happens to your noble, it doesn't go back to the command zone and there are no color identity rules.
I thought bringing back the classic Nefarious Lich combo would be pretty casual fun. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about tutoring for the centerpiece or have it clogging up my hand when I wasn't ready to "become a lich". The 4 uncommons are 1 Diabolic Tutor and 3
Zombie Infestation

The combo is to have out a
Confessor
, discard outlet (namely
Zombie Infestation
to try and win), and Nefarious Lich. You discard cards to make zombie tokens, and instead of gaining life, you'll be drawing 2 cards to make another zombie token.
Absorb Vis
helps get those PRECIOUS swamps. Worst case it's "opponent loses 4 life and you draw 4 cards".
Duress to maybe get rid of enchantment removal spells. Creatures with enter the battlefield enchantment removal triggered abilities are problematic.
Razor Barrier
was my answer for my "fragile combo protection". Also looking at Ostracize since Duress tends to whiff a lot.
Tireless Tribe
is backup for
Zombie Infestation
to get started on card draw. I'm still seeing if they are really needed but I didn't know what else to throw in here.
I didn't go for the Sickening Dreams route because I never had enough cards in hand to outright kill someone or a surefire way to draw a mass amount of cards(such as Zuran Orb or
Overgrown Estate
).
