Naya-saurus-Rex

Standard RGW (Naya)

bibopaam

Edit 1:
- Rile swapped for Dual Shot Effective for enrage triggers and flipping the odds of trades. Also adds another removal option.
- Gishath, Sun's Avatar swapped for regisaur alpha to increase deck speed.

Building a functional Dino deck has been quite the task but after a couple weeks of tweaking this seems to be the right direction.

Playing against other similar decks, the main issue with this tribe feels like a lack of flowing synergy. The best answer I could come up with was to increase the amount of hard removal, Naya offering the strongest options.

Ramping

I'm not a fan of either of the "Dinosaurs cost (1) less to cast" creatures. Having actual mana available to control the board feels way more valuable and opens you up to options that throwing down a big Dino can't fix.

Jadelight Ranger A possible threat all on it's own if it hits counters. Also allows you to pseudo-scry.
Drover of the Mighty : Again, a possible threat if you have a Dino out.
Wayward Swordtooth synergizes with Jadelight Ranger and the drawing power of other cards in the deck.

Mind games

Both of these are your go-to targets for Rile and Shake the Foundations
Your opponents will often be forced to let through chunks of damage or will be reluctant to attack into either of these guys.
Siegehorn Ceratops
Ripjaw raptor

Removal

Running 14 removal spells in total. A mix of direct burn damage, artifact hate, non-land permanent hate, and weenie hate.

Shout out to Ixalan's Binding some people are too reliant on a play-set of a single card. I've gotten more than one instant scoop from just dropping this on a key permanent on turn 3 or 4.
