Sideboard

Mass Effect reference if you didn't get it lol. I hope to acquire most a few more of the Gatecrash cards to finish this is my current idea. If I get my hands on Thundermaw Hellkite or Aurelia, the Warleader I will likely replace Sigarda, Host of Herons in the main and move her to the side. Suggestions are welcome.

Round 1: Golgari Aggro (2-0)

This was a friend playing my http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/go-go-golgari-aggro/ deck. I was very familiar so I knew want to do against it for an easy win.

Round 2: Golgari Aggro (0-2)

This was basically the same as my Golgari Aggro deck however he had Lotleth Troll which I still need. Game 1 I had a hard time killing his creatures because of regenerator and hasty creatures and I couldn't gain life fast enough. Game two I brought in Terminus however he use Appetite for Brains to remove one from my hand early. This with some bad draws cost me the game.

Round 3: Multicolor Human Reanimater (1-1-1 Draw)

I knew what was going to happen from the beginning so Nightshade Peddler was my Pillar of Flame target. I managed to get him to six however with his self mill I knew an Angel of Glory's Rise was going to happen and a human army would finish me lol. Game 2 however I sided in Terminus and Rest in Peace. I never drew any of the sided cards but, was able beat him to 1 life before his humans came back to the board. A simple Pillar of Flame finished the game. Game 3 we didn't have time to finish however it was going in my favor since I go an early Rest in Peace on the board and he had no answers for it.

Round 4: Golgari Scavenge? (2-1)

One of the younger players. Game 1 I started with a mana heavy hand, which normally works out for me however I drew a Centaur Healer, Bonfire of the Damned, and a Thragtusk which was not enough to keep him at bay. Games 2 I was a close game however one Rest in Peace was enough mess up his scavenge plan and my Bonfire of the Damned helped to keep his Vampire Nighthawks at bay. Game 3 was about the same however Kessig Wolf Run won me the game.

Round 5: Naya Midrange (1-1-1 Draw)

A mirror match, what can I say. Game 1 I was able to get a Sigarda, Host of Herons on the field on turn 4 and he wasn't able to stop the flying damage and this was his downfall. In game 2 we were doing the same thing, Gaining life and trying to get in damage, however a double Selesnya Charm finished off my creatures but luckly an Bonfire of the Damned killed his but one was a Thragtusk... This allowed a Kessig Wolf Run pumped beast token to kill me. We never had a game 3 because time was up.

Review:

Centaur Healer was the way to go over Loxodon Smiter and learned that Burning Oil is better in the sideboard than Searing Spear. Pillar of Flame was better than Searing Spear in the mainboard and I want want to get my hands on a couple of Garruk, Primal Hunter to replace the oblivion rings in the sideboard. Otherwise bring on gatecrash! The new Boros cards would be welcome here lol!
