Boy is Naya powerful!

Former Selesnya deck now splashing red for help with problem match ups. After testing i can say that the red splash is amazing!

A Selesnya shell is great as it is always the bigger aggro deck in an aggro match up, with Fleecemane Lion, Loxodon Smiter and the life gain stabilisation from Unflinching Courage but also has the best match up against controll out of all the aggro decks out there. In my oppinion anyway, what with Voice of Resurgence, Witchstalker , Mistcutter Hydra, Skylasher , monsterous Fleecemane Lion and loads of creatures that can be flashed in after a board wipe.

The only problem was that Blood Baron of Vizkopa consistantly destroyed it and selesnya lacked reliable means to get rid of it. Mizzium Mortars now removes Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Ghor-Clan Rampager gives us that extra push against other aggro decks and Boros Charm helps hurt planeswalkers and is the lowest cost 'nope' to Supreme Verdict.

A few things about the list: I play Brimaz, King of Oreskos over Loxodon Smiter as he can power up Voice Tokens and also has some synergies well with Sunblade Elf being able to pump a board full of cats. Boros Reckoner gets played over Boon Satyr as boros wreckoner just hoses other aggro decks and is pseudo unblockable. This makes for a deadly creature when the deck runs as many pump spells as it does.

The mana base was for a Brave Naya version that this deck used to be, but i liked every land being able to produce a Boros Reckoner on turn 3, even if it means missing the turn 1 Sunblade Elf or Experiment One

I managed to go 5-1-0 at two different Game Days and take 1st place at each with this deck . All comments and suggestions welcome. Thanks guys!

Updates Add

Tidied up the comment sections and updated a lot of details about the deck.

Went to the saturday Game Day and took 1st place. Not the most competative of events but I still had to work for it. I had Skylasher in the side over Mizzium Mortars at this event as i was worried about playing a guy that usually plays mono blue.

swiss

2-0 vs Grixis goodstuff - Guy playing a recently built grixis deck with a mix of generally good grixis card. Overall lack of synergy meant it was an easy aggro game.

2-1 vs Rabble Red - RDW which plays Goblin Rabblemaster. lost game 1. Post sideboard is a lot better due to having Unflinching Courage. Boros Reckoner on blocking duty saved the day, blocking a Firedrinker Satyr and redirecting to a second Firedrinker Satyr hurt my opponent a lot before i swung back for game.

2-0 vs Mono Blue Artifact - Loved this deck! Loads of aggro flying 1 or 2 mana creatures with other tempo spells like Void Snare and Turn to Frog. Just managed a win in game 1 then Skylasher took game 2 almost single handedly.

2-0 vs Mono Black Swamps - Yep, not devotion ... swamps. based around Corrupt, Nightmare, Squelching Leeches and kill spells. Voice of Resurgence is just too good against kill spells and the match wasnt too hard to win with just simple attacks each turn.

I was the only 4-0 after the swiss so i was 1st place and obviously made top 4.

Top 4

2-0 Vs R/W Pyromaster R/W burn with young pyromaster. Shock lands and mana confluence really punish me in this match up. Won game 1 with 1 life, game 2 came down to top decks when i was on 3 life and any of Lightning Strike, Warleader's Helix or Boros Charm killed me. I got lucky this game as he never found any and i just beat him down whatever creatures came my way.

finals

2-0 vs Mono Blue Artifacts Played the same guy from round 3. He is a good player and a great deck builder so i was happy it was me vs him in the finals. The games played out the same as before except this time the Skylasher had Unflinching Courage. My opponent seemed annoyed as he thought i had added the Skylashers to my side after playtesting against him before the tourney which i felt bad about but i had been meaning to try them for a while.

Finally won my first games day! Very pleased with my deck and myself!
