In the pursuit of eternal life and power, there is nothing a man won't do to achieve his goal. Whether it be selling his soul to demons, gaining the blessing of a powerful deity, or giving up his humanity to become part machine, no price is too great and no consequence is too dire.

The whole concept behind the deck was based on three main ideas: Gain an absurd amount of life, Reanimate as many creatures as possible to gain insurmountable value from them, and to control the board-state so there is no hope for your opponents to develop beyond you. The deck utilises elements of aristocrat decks in Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat , soul sisters, reanimator with cards like Animate Dead and Karmic Guide , and cards like Archangel of Thune and Ashen Rider as big payoff cards.
