Maybeboard

The idea of the deck is simple, and I'm sure there are a bunch of decks on here like this one.

Our goal is to keep the board squeaky-clean and free of opposing threats, using any or all of the 17 sweeper effects and 15 targeted removal effects at our disposal. All the while, we will attempt to populate our battlefield with various useful and powerful equipment that does a good job of surviving our sweepers.

15 repeatable creature generation cards that are themselves not creatures (Enchantments, Artifacts, Planeswalkers, and even Lands) will provide eager hands to hold our various weapons and tools, while surviving our sweepers.

Thanks to our access to 4 tutor effects and 6 card draw effects, we can assemble the perfect arsenal, ready to be used by our soldiers, knights, angels, giants, germs, spirits, blinkmoths, assembly workers, and horrors.

Since our creatures will likely not be around for long, they need haste, cheap equip costs, and creature recursion in certain cases. This deck is therefore fitted with 3 sources of haste (all of which are tutor-able), 10 non-creature permanents that can become creatures (and attack right away), 3 creature recursion cards (1 of which is itself recur-able by 3 different artifact/equipment recursion cards), and our friends Stonehewer Giant and Puresteel Paladin.

Our commander plays a leading role in this deck, as she provides sword-holding creatures and free equip costs, cheats out equipment, recurs equipment, CREATES equipment (if we're lucky), and survives sweepers.

Notable Interactions:

If the first equipment you tutor with Stoneforge Mystic is Sword of Light and Shadow, you can use the sword to recur the Stoneforge Mystic after a sweeper for repeatable tutoring.

Who needs a Consecrated Sphinx, when Skullclamp gives you the option of effectively turning Nahiri's first ability into "+2: Draw two cards".

A Puresteel Paladin, following a sweeper, can result in a rather devastating blow if our battlefield is well-populated with equipment.

Bonehoard is greatly optimized in a sweeper-heavy deck such as this.

Darksteel Plate allows for one creature to survive a sweeper, greatly reducing the cost/time of re-mobilization. Puresteel Paladin and Stonehewer Giant are the ideal targets, but any creature will do.

Haunted Plate Mail LOVES sweepers!

Solemn Simulacrum with sweepers and artifact/creature recursion translates into repeatable ramp and card draw.

Myth Realized will get a LOT of free Lore Counters, as we have 54 non-creature spells. It can survive sweepers like a champ, activate for just one W, grab a couple swords, and swing on a clean board for some serious damage.

Updates Add

removed Haunted Plate Mail

removed Myth Realized

removed Bonehoard

added Descend upon the Sinful

added Coldsteel Heart

added Thunder Totem

Bonehoard is too situational, and often useless. This deck doesn't contribute to the graveyard creature count whatsoever, so it relies on other decks to power it up. Would be better if the deck was self-sufficient in activating this card.

Haunted Plate Mail and Myth Realized were in here because they were good temporary creature cards that don't die to sweepers. However, they do little else, and so are not often useful. Gideon Jura and Guardian Idol make better temporary creature cards because they also offer other benefits in addition to this ability.

Thunder Totem --> see Guardian Idol. Now with coloured mana and flying!

Coldsteel Heart --> Marble Diamond x 2

Descend upon the Sinful --> Final Judgment x 2, with a slight chance of angel. MOAR 'SPLODIES!!
