This the most updated version you are currently playing. How is it still competing?

ZorrosRage Pretty well! It can get hosed by control decks, but in a 75% format it is a bomb. It tends to win a lot of games for me, since Zndrsplt has a decent chance of giving good value on the turn that they come out.

There are a lot of on-theme pet cards in this deck though: Paroxysm, Wild Swing, Spark of Creativity, Game of Chaos, Molten Birth, Chaotic Strike, Volatile Rig and Crazed Firecat are all on-theme, however if you replaced them with better cards for protecting Zndrsplt and Okaun, the deck would probably be more consistent. Essentially, the two commanders on their own can kill pretty easily, so you don't really need many coin flip cards, but I like the theme that it creates, and it does help in a pinch.

the theme is why the deck is made so def need to horde the flip for fun. my playgroup is not crazy competitive. it looks really fun and want to try something different and consistent.

Now sure how i feel about Dictate of the Twin Gods what would you replace that with?

ZorrosRage Fabricate and Gamble are very good for this deck, I just didn't include them to keep the deck as cheap as possible. Etali, Primal Storm is very fun and on-theme, but doesn't work well with the whole voltron thing, Fling is a great way to kill at instant speed, Reality Shift is on-theme removal, I'm sure there are other options but that should help!

Muddle the Mixture is a great thumb tutor with huge upside. I use it frequently as a counter spell when things go downhill

What do you think about Rakdos, the Showstopper

otters I really like that card, I totally forgot to add it

ZorrosRage I really like him as a commander for some kind of demon/imp/devil tribal deck, although it's important to keep in mind that technically nobody "wins" his coin flips, so he doesn't synergize with other coin flip cards. He seems like an interesting commander and great for chaos as well!

Game of Chaos is so good. My commander was stolen, my life was at 8, my opponent was at 38 with a massive board. Thumb and chaos left him dead and me at 72.

A Muddle the Mixture would be really good in this deck to transmute out one of the main pieces being Krarks Thumb while also being a good counterspell. Other tutors like Fabricate could help too.

I am not sure if you are still replying to comments, but I just wanted to know your opinion on adding some tutors. Should I, and if so which? What cards are safe to get rid of? Thank you in advance.

douglas.obri Those are definitely good inclusions! I'll change the deck around once I eventually get a copy of them.

Aporm Yep, I'm still replying to comments (albeit slowly), I'm usually personally against using tutors because they tend to slow the game down with the shuffling and all that (land tutors are different because you can just do that on somebody else's turn and let them do their thing), not to mention I like commander games to be different, and tutors tend to make games feel a bit samey, but they would definitely increase the power of the deck. Paroxysm , Wild Swing , Spark of Creativity , Molten Birth , Chaotic Strike , Volatile Rig and Crazed Firecat are all fairly low-impact cards that I put in for the theme, so any one of those (or all of them for that matter) could be replaced with better cards to improve the deck, and tutors would be a good way to go. Also, if you're going for max power, consider Frenetic Efreet although I'm not a fan since it takes a very long time to resolve that many coin flips. Also if you're going that route, Laboratory Maniac can work as well.

If you're playgroup lets you throw in a few silver boarder cards then check out A sock of quarters. I win a surprising number of games with it. Especially the Mana Screw and Karplusan Minotaur combo. They haven't put it together that they can kill the creature and I don't plan on pointing it out.

This deck literally makes me so happy I want to cry! I love every card choice and how budget the build is. I've never straight up bought a deck list I've found online, but this one will be the first. touché amoré!

Have you updated this deck at all? I'm thinking of building something similar. Probably add Tribute Mage and Goblin Engineer as another two ways to get Krark's Thumb. How good is this deck without a Thumb in play?

poorpinkus says... #22

Pringlesman I haven't updated this deck recently, but it's been doing pretty well for a while! Krark's thumb is a great wincon, but it is by no means necessary to win; Out of all of the games that I've played with the deck, I've only won one with the card because usually it gets removed very quickly.

The thing with Okaun is that since he only requires 3 winning coin flips to get lethal, you have a pretty reasonable chance to reach that each turn, especially with the amount of coin flip cards in the deck. Even Zndrsplt and Okaun together with nothing else is enough to make you a very formidable threat.

The way I play this deck is quite literally controlled chaos. Most cards like Puppet's Verdict have a huge impact on the board no matter how they resolve, and people don't want to counter them because they aren't sure who they are going to affect. Impulsive Maneuvers is another great example, since if you have ways to chump block, it effectively cuts the amount of creatures that you need to block with in half, and causes a lot more doubt when people are deciding what to attack with.

Anyways, Tribute Mage and Goblin Engineer would be great additions to the deck. I personally like keeping the tutors to a minimum since I like to keep the deck fairly random so that games are unique though, and the deck is still incredibly strong without Krark's Thumb. Thanks for the suggestions though! They'd definitely be good in the deck, it's just a matter of personal preference.

This is by far my favorite deck on tapped out. Thank you so much for creating this wonder.

What are you thoughts on Stitch in Time? Are there any new cards that you might consider in the list?

I just built this deck and am anxiously awaiting to play it (still missing a couple of cards on order). Your post is not dead... LOL. I am stoked to give it a whirl, this is to me one of the decks I classify as "win or lose, its all fun".. that said I absolutely don't think you deck is weak at all, and that makes it even better. I even spent a bit of extra $$ and purchased a 1907 Barber silver dollar on Ebay to do the flipping, just to add to the flavor of what you built! I am sure I will tweak this idea to some degree, but thanks so much for what you posted!

Great deck! I really wanna build it, but are there any upgrades anyone can recommend since this was made in 2018. I wanna see if there are any new cards that'll optimize this deck even more. Thank you!
