Acquired some cards; adjustments —April 17, 2014

Changes! Technically still all clear despite a few colored mana sources due to utility lands. It's cool though.

Buried RuinMTG Card: Buried Ruin is often good in these decks.

April 24, 2012 3:06 p.m.

I agree. I sideboarded one. What do you think overall?

What, no VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva? VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva is gravy for your lands, man.

April 25, 2012 6:22 p.m.

I love it! Clear is the best color.

April 25, 2012 9:59 p.m.

@ TikiShades I contemplated VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva... may have to playtest 2x of in lieu of Buried RuinMTG Card: Buried Ruin.

@ The_Murderauder Thanks lol.

Have you gents playtested? Thoughts? I have most of the cards for this deck, save Karn LiberatedMTG Card: Karn Liberated, Expedition MapMTG Card: Expedition Map, the aforementioned VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva, and the Trons. Before purchasing said cards, would like to thoroughly test and make this a competitive deck...

Hello there, interesting deck you have here. the only feedback i can really think to give is to drop 2x Darksteel ColossusMTG Card: Darksteel Colossus and add in 2x VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva. also do you really need to run urzatron AND cloudpost? it seems like a bit overkill and completely unnecessary. you also might think about running Prototype PortalMTG Card: Prototype Portal with all the artifacts you have in this deck. hopefully i have helped even a little bit.

April 27, 2012 12:54 p.m.

@ Quintessence Why drop Darksteel ColossusMTG Card: Darksteel Colossus instead of Buried RuinMTG Card: Buried Ruin to add in 2x VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva?

Lol... Well, since I'm running colorless, I figured why not. Also, it's a great way to ensure I get lots of mana and lifegain from GlimmerpostMTG Card: Glimmerpost. Since I've had multiple suggestions for VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva, I may have to pick some up.

Prototype PortalMTG Card: Prototype Portal is interesting... I don't have one, but do have a MirrorworksMTG Card: Mirrorworks which is almost the same thing. I do appreciate your feedback though, man. I'd really like to make this competitive...

the reason i suggest to drop Darksteel ColossusMTG Card: Darksteel Colossus is because Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus is just a completely better version of it and makes it almost completely pointless, so it seems the most obvious to drop to make room for VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva. also if i were you i would simply stick to CloudpostMTG Card: Cloudpost VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva GlimmerpostMTG Card: Glimmerpost. the urza lands are nice but very inconsistant compared to CloudpostMTG Card: Cloudpost.

April 27, 2012 1:10 p.m.

Darksteel ColossusMTG Card: Darksteel Colossus is also huge and indestructable, with trample...

True the Posts are very effective, but I have two options with the Trons. I might try switching things up a bit by taking out the Trons, adding 4x Amulet of VigorMTG Card: Amulet of Vigor, 4x VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva, and 4x Darksteel CitadelMTG Card: Darksteel Citadel.

I've also given thought to how Blood MoonMTG Card: Blood Moon would really ruin my day. Any artifacts that offer enchantment removal?

then just do -2x Darksteel ColossusMTG Card: Darksteel Colossus and then +2x Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus. darksteel is just kind of a waste of a slot for this deck. you should definitely try the VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva and Amulet of VigorMTG Card: Amulet of Vigor tho it will be much more consistant.

the only thing i can think of is Nevinyrral's DiskMTG Card: Nevinyrral's Disk not sure how well that would work tho. there are a few other artifacts that can destroy enchantments but they require green mana to use ability.

@Quintessence: There's a problem with your only CloudpostMTG Card: Cloudpost/GlimmerpostMTG Card: Glimmerpost/VesuvaMTG Card: Vesuva plan. That's only 12 lands, bro. Sure, he doesn't need to be running a TON of lands, but still.

Personally, I would add some more non-land mana sources. Things like Thran DynamoMTG Card: Thran Dynamo, or if you can find them, Sol RingMTG Card: Sol Ring. Then, bump the All Is DustMTG Card: All Is Dust count up to 4. It is so good. I can't stress enough.

Also, you seem to be kind of split between aggro and ramp. I think you could afford to drop the Signal PestMTG Card: Signal Pests and OrnithopterMTG Card: Ornithopters, but that's just me. If you don't wanna, that's cool too.

Made some changes. Thoughts?

I understand why Sisay's RingMTG Card: Sisay's Ring and Dreamstone HedronMTG Card: Dreamstone Hedron are in here, but trust me, Worn PowerstoneMTG Card: Worn Powerstone is waaaay better, especially since you're playing with Amulet of VigorMTG Card: Amulet of Vigor.

May 8, 2012 3:34 p.m.

Hmm... had forgotten that card existed, thanks! I do like the card draw from Dreamstone HedronMTG Card: Dreamstone Hedron. It's a good option when I don't need the extra mana.

Any other thoughts?

May 8, 2012 9:50 p.m.

Thran DynamoMTG Card: Thran Dynamo is strictly better than Sisay's RingMTG Card: Sisay's Ring. The above suggestion is good, too. Worn PowerstoneMTG Card: Worn Powerstone is pretty sweet.

Of course, if money is no object, then Sol RingMTG Card: Sol Ring beats all the rest.

May 8, 2012 11:15 p.m.

Sol RingMTG Card: Sol Ring is one of my favorite cards, however I'd have to switch the format to Vintage, as it's banned in Legacy and restricted to a 1x of.

For the same CMC Thran DynamoMTG Card: Thran Dynamo is pretty awesome. I don't have any currently, so Sisay's RingMTG Card: Sisay's Ring will do for now. I have some cards in here that'll I'll order if the deck runs competitively well.

What do you think about the splash of green, Crop RotationMTG Card: Crop Rotation, and Crucible of WorldsMTG Card: Crucible of Worlds? The Loam decks with WastelandMTG Card: Wasteland tears this deck apart. That was one of the reasons why I chose to splash green. I was also thinking about sideboarding in Surgical ExtractionMTG Card: Surgical Extraction to rid WastelandMTG Card: Wastelands. Thoughts????

If you're going into Green and doing the other stuff you mentioned, then I recommend using Ancient StirringsMTG Card: Ancient Stirrings to replace the Hedron and Ring. For a minimal investment, you get to dig down and have your pick of pretty much anything the deck has to offer.

How do you plan on playing Crop Rotation ?

January 13, 2013 1:06 p.m.

@ RussischerZar dude it's been forever since I've looked at this deck! I was tweaking it and probably forgot about it....

I did make some updates. It might run better...

March 13, 2013 1:30 a.m.

Why Skyshroud Forest over a second Yavimaya Coast? Also check out Thespian's Stage as a budget alternative to Vesuva.

March 13, 2013 2:22 p.m.

Ah, I don't have a 2nd Yavimaya Coast lol. With Amulet of Vigor, Skyshroud Forest won't ETB tapped. I merely have it in for testing atm.

I forgot to add my 2x Vesuva I DO have lol, thanks! I dig Thespian's Stage and may run 2x or more if I can make it work. The only problem with running all colorless is the lack of tutors other than Expedition Map. Splashing green gives me Crop Rotation and Ancient Stirrings, plus Summoning Trap from the sideboard.

It's been so long since I've looked at this deck. It would be cool to make it competitive... dunno though.

One suggestion for a combo with Expedition Map is Walking Atlas . You could play lands even faster with him and with your Amulet of Vigor , they would not be tapped :)

June 1, 2013 3:34 p.m.

Haha! May have to add him! Thanks!
