I was somehow able to convince my family to get me the Breed Lethality commander deck for Christmas. Don't know how I was able to swing that, but I did. So anyway, here's the rundown:

starting out: Why Atraxa?

Truth be told, I'm not sure what brought my attention to Atraxa. It's not like I know a whole lot. Heck, I came from only playing my Talrand deck. This was quite a jump into the big leagues.

I suppose I liked the idea of Atraxa, you know? Just like everybody else?

My Route with Atraxa

The pre-con comes with most of the staples for a simple +1/+1 counter deck. It's great right out of the box. My issue, however, was how easy it could be to just delete the whole deck.

I did a little bit of digging around, and surprise surprise, I found superfriends. Superfriends is kinda fun, sure, but the issue that I faced was a common one: As a high school student who barely works, I simply did not have the money for everything that I needed for Superfriends. I remember looking through my uncle's cards and seeing infect. Infect I figured would be a good decision, as 10 of those is a game over. Then of course you have the +1/+1 support from the pre-con.

With all of this being said, I decided to do all three. Include a handful of Planeswalkers, some +1/+1 synergy, and finally some infect.

This deck is possible to win with any way, but I personally like to use infect as a distraction while I boost up my creatures. People tend to ignore growth if you send out 5 poison counters in one swing.

So yeah, this deck isn't the best Atraxa deck, but you know what? It's My Atraxa Deck ;)
