Updated the list after playingAdded Beast Within and Terastodon to deal with problem permanents as i was getting wrecked by GY hate. Also added Lion's Eye Diamond to test with Deadeye Navigator. Finally, added Protean Hulk + Flash for value, but without the Mike/Ballista combo to start with

Elephant Grass and Ancestral Knowledge are a pair of really good enchantments here.

Im not a big fan of Elephant Grass because I dont get attacked that often, but I should really test Ancestral Knowledge because rearranging the top 10 is awesome

Got another hidden gem to recommend. Armor of Thorns, works for reusable removal that gets around indestructible or can buff a creature if you need it.

Last_Laugh I feel similar about Armor of Thorns as i do about Elephant Grass, I generally find that if someone is attaching me its with something really nasty, but most of the time if I lose, it will be to some form of combo rather than combat damage and I find Spore Frog covers me very well with combat damage. Something i do feel that this deck is missing however is creature spot removal in the form of a permanent rather than an instant or sorcery, I've got Attrition and have tried Executioner's Capsule but I really want to hit black creatures too. Any suggestions??

Ummm wow, I misread the shit out of that card... I was looking at an older printing and I misread the lengthy ass wording on the card. Muh bad!

Hopefully you arent sick of me yet but I have a few suggestions.

Ok, Lotus Petal and Crystal Vein both deserve a spot here for free reusable mana acceleration. I'm also seeing Sword of Feast and Famine in your maybeboard but Bear Umbra might be better here due to totem armor (or both, this deck seems like it could be mana hungry midgame?). Diabolic Intent also seems better here than Demonic Tutor, but I'd again run both. Also, Phyrexian Tower and Cephalid Coliseum would both be good here for their utility.

Haha not sick of ya. Lotus Petal I use in all my fast decks, but for this i don't see it as necessary as I'm happy with a slower more value over time choice like Sakura-Tribe Elder, or Lion's Eye Diamond which is proving amazing. Bear Umbra is a good idea, I want to find space for that now as it will be great with Oblivion Stone and Pernicious Deed when I need to go 6+ cmc. I might cut Vampiric Tutor for Diabolic Intent too. As for the 3 lands, I've been trying to increase the basics count for reusable creature basic land ramp. I think I need to play test more and then re evaluate the utility lands in here. I'll have a look through your list soon too
