Black Vise becoming unbanned in Legacy means that real Stasis decks are back....Let's make Stasis great again! First started fading friends with Stasis back in 1996, that's why I'm running Kismet over Frozen AEther - I'm old skool...and the art is better plus I like to run Wrath of God as a board sweeper if I'm slow to get the lockdown on the board.

Splash of Black for Lim-Dul's Vault which is vital for digging up those Howling Mines, extra lands which helps pay for the Stasis upkeep and most importantly a Black Vise to start bringing the pain. The Arcane Denials result in extra damage to our opponent when Black Vise is in play...we want them to draw the extra two cards, I have been known to Counter my own cards too...not quite an Ancestral Recall but it sure helps ;).

The best cards in the deck are the two Tabernacles which I only play if I have a Stasis\Kismet lockdown happening, although if the opponent is tapped out with a few creatures in play Winter Orb can do the job if you are in need of a boardwipe. Speaking of which the Serendib Efreet and the Serra Angels are there just for an extra wincon...it's called beatdown!

Edit: Gone totally creatureless for more consistency and more wins. There are now two Wincons: decking your opponent with multiple Howling Mines making sure that we use Feldon's Cane on our graveyard to avoid the same fate and Black Vise damage to their face. Winter Orb x2 is a great addition to the deck as sometimes you can win without even landing a Stasis! The playset of Misdirection is vital in order to protect Stasis from Abrupt Decay and other enchantment hate. Don't forget that you can "Counter" Force of Will by re-directing it to counter Misdirection instead of it's original target....which rocks. Oh yeah, speaking of cards that rock Zuran Orb is insanely good against any kind of burn deck- dig for it like crazy as it totally wins games!

Edit: Added 3x Karakas because of Omni/Show/Sneak decks trying to fade me yo!
