I would like to introduce to you my take on Land Based Tasigur, without further ado, let's begin.

Introduction Show

This deck is basically what i forged from my previous The Gitrog Monster edh, because i feel like, i want to win with lands but using different ways, many asked me, why not Lord Windgrace instead, to which i answered, i want to be able to assert a certain degree of control too, hence, BUG is my choice in the end

Pros and Cons Show

Pros

This deck bears great result in my meta, which consist of control players, and while this deck isn't quite cEDH level yet, it can hold it's own weight in the table, and often steals win because people aren't used to it

Cons

The deck have great issue in the sense that more often than not, you will have problems deciding about your mulligans, as it's an unusual deck, it takes a lot of practice, since this deck demands high level of decision making. On top of that, Back to Basics and Blood Moon really hurts your gameplan, although this deck can handle the grind game if it exists on board.

Starting Hand

Generally speaking,the perfect hand for this deck is usually 2-3 lands that generates mana, Ramp artifact or Utility lands, some interactions, and Draw Engine.

Playing the deck

Earlier on, your primary purpose is just to control the board while tutoring up for Rings of Brighthearth using Fabricate , Tezzeret the Seeker , or Tribute Mage and either Ad Nauseam or Scapeshift

Use cards like Exploration , Burgeoning , Azusa, Lost but Seeking , Wayward Swordtooth , Oracle of Mul Daya , and The Gitrog Monster to drop extra lands as this is your primary ways of ramping.

Use Glacial Chasm , Field of the Dead , and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale to hose off aggro from your opponent, you may use Crop Rotation to tutor up for either just to make sure no one going to bother you.

If for some reason you can't do any of the above,or it got answered and you can no longer do it, then it's time to grind game by destroying your opponent's land with Strip Mine in conjunction with cards that allows you to play extra lands and either Crucible of Worlds or Ramunap Excavator while you use Krosan Grip and Assassin's Trophy to pick off their source of mana or any combo pieces they have on board.

Winning Condition

There are several winning conditions in the deck, with several ways to assemble it too.

The easiest way is for you to use Ad Nauseam with Manabond on field so you can dump all the lands you draw from Adnaus, ideally you will have Rings of Brighthearth on field, either Alchemist's Refuge or Emergence Zone , and either Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx / Gaea's Cradle / Cabal Coffers though, in Coffers case, you also want to have Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

You can also tutor all the necessary lands using Scapeshift

Afterwards, generate infinite mana using any between Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx / Gaea's Cradle / Cabal Coffers as long as it can tap for 4 mana at least, untap it using Deserted Temple , Hold Priority and use Rings of Brighthearth to copy the effect so you get to untap both the Temple and the Big mana generating land, by using that you will gain infinite mana of any one color depending on land used, and to gain infinite mana of Any color, what you have to do now is just tapping and untapping a colored land, and use the infinite mana you generated to activate temple and rings.

The other feasible wincon, is generating infinite mana by using Palinchron and Phantasmal Image

Palinchron can also be used in conjunction with Deserted Temple and the Big mana lands to do the same although you need more at least 4 lands that generate

After generating infinite mana, dump it all on Tas's activated ability to grab all your nonlands, and use Assassin's Trophy to blow up all your opponent's permanent.
