Most Magic players have that one EDH deck that they have been improving and changing over the course of their time playing Magic. For me, this is that deck.

Thromok is a general that is completely worthless on his own, but when combined with a good number of 1/1 chumps, and the right burn spell, you'll catch your opponents off guard if they aren't paying attention to how your deck functions. Speaking of how to win with Thromok, your choices for killing players range from a simple Fling, Soul's Fire, or Whispersilk Cloak/Swiftfoot combo to Warstorm Surge and the outright game nuker that is Chandra's Ignition. The deck just wins off the explosive amount of damage that suddenly comes flying out. You don't even need Thromok; the deck also runs cards like Purphoros/Impact Tremors, Beastmaster Ascension, and Ogre Battledriver, enough to make those 1/1 chumps pretty nasty to deal with.

As for chump/food production, the deck focuses more on making saprolings and goblins, as both tribes do have some synergy cards such as Krenko, Mob Boss, Siege-Gange Commander, Tendershoot Dryad, and so forth, while getting other tribes for covering any weak points (aka flying, raw strength, etc).

There are some glaring problems with the deck though. It can be slow to set up, your opponents can shut you down if they're careful enough, and there is limited to no removal aside from artifact/enchantment hate.

All and all, I like playing the deck, and its fun to watch its explosive plays go off.
