This is simply the evolved version of my favorite EDH deck. I started out adding obvious upgrades and fixing problems I had in game situations, then added cards I picked up along the way. My favorite synergy is the Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage which works so well with Command Beacon and Life from the Loam. Meren pulls some hate when she cranks up, so recurring Command Beacon while facilitating my cause is just win-win. I'm not crazy about stax, but since Meren has weaknesses she can't readily fix, I included the Winter Orb I pulled from Eternal Masters. It has helped me pull out victories for which I otherwise would not have had the opportunity. It's a work in progress that I love to play, but it generally makes games last 3+ hours if it cranks up, so I don't play it as regularly as I would like. Let me know what you think.
