Updates

Some Updates — Sept. 2, 2012

Added Temple Garden and shuffled the land count around a bit with the recent spoilers for RtR.

I know you probably don't want to splash a third color but Invisible Stalker is probably one of the most effective unblockable creatures, and has the added benefit of being a human. He's especially deadly if you pump him with counters too :D

I'd like to pair him up with Ajani and Sublime Archangel someday but for now he's happy with a card:Runechanter's Pike in another deck.

Your Fiend Hunter and your Thraben Doomsayer are going to have a little trouble fighting for the turn 3 slot against your Champion of Lambholt without a little bit more mana fixing. Since it's a human deck Cavern of Souls could be good.

Starting to love running card:Angel of Glory's Rise in this deck. Playing against mono black I dropped her the turn after my opponent cast Mutilate , then used Fiend Hunter 's ETB ability to exile my angel and dare him to clear the board again. The look on his face was priceless.

Thanks Esmic! Friend got pissed off at the deck today and was determined to beat it with one of his decks. Phyrexian Obliterator and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon finally got me in a best of 3. Didn't board against him though.

Swap card:Avacyn's Pilgrim for Birds of Paradise , turn two Champion of Lambholt is key.

By the looks at your deck (and comments) I assume you are getting ready for RtR you should probably fill your sideboard with cards to combat each guild, like card:Tormod's Crypt for Golgari. You already have Thalia, Guardian of Thraben along with Cavern of Souls which combats Izzet fairly well. Things like that. I would probably at least side Oblivion Ring if not main board. Also since you are only running two colors Abundant Growth is probably not that useful. If you are using it to draw a card there are probably better options, but upon looking on mtg gatherer there isn't much you can do right now since you only have 4 sets to work with. I might consider running Elvish Visionary instead, though it cost one one and isn't a human it will trigger Champion of Lambholt and you get another creature for those other cards that aren't type specific. Though it is up to you I just grew really fond of them through my deck:standard-blink-21-07-12-1 deck. Now you have to comment on mine ;) just kidding do whatever you want, but overall great deck +1.

I don't see the point in sideboarding Sigarda, Host of Herons . It's such a good card that anything but main-boarding it in G/W is an insult.

It's a 5/5 Flying for 5. Already great. Better, in fact, than most uses of 5 mana in Standard. But then give her Hexproof? Amazing. Prevent herself and your other creatures from being sacrificed? Game-breaking.

Yeah unfortunately there's not a ton of options for card draw in green or white right now. Mainly I wanted to have a little fun with card:Descendants' Path and drop multiple creatures each turn after the Champions hit the board.

Will definitely look into the sideboard ideas thanks for the suggestions!

@zandl

I did have Sigarda in the main deck at one point but I worried too much about dumping her to the bottom of my library with card:Descendants' Path unless I run multiple copies.

Going off of what zandl said Sigarda, Host of Herons isn't a very sideboardable card and I don't think it would work well mainboard since you get to chose which creature you sacrifice if you are forced to and you will be pumping out so many creatures that it wont effect you much, so I think you should cut it out of your sideboard and use that space for other cards that might sideboard better.

True, I get influenced too much on my sideboards as 90% of my one friend's decks run black.

Well if it is more casual play i would definitely take friends decks into consideration. For example if in a casual setting none of your friends run a bring back to life type deck i wouldn't run card:Tormod's Crypt but in a Friday Night Magic setting after RtR comes out I definitely would sideboard it, so it all depends on what your going to use the deck for.

Thanks! Been trying to add some flavor to more of my deck descriptions. For right now I've been playing a lot of multiplayer with it and it tends to overrun everyone. Usually once they finally get rid of one problem creature another shows up.

Have also done the loop combo with Fiend Hunter , exiling the first one, then exiling the second, getting the first back, exiling the third, etc... The champions end up with however many +1/+1 counters I want.

Thanks CrimsonKing! :) I figured this deck could use more flavor in its name. Also meant to ask if you did something with Demon's souls? I can't get the link for it to show up on Tenacious E - Tribute.

Love it. Love human aggro so much right now. Have you considered running Gather the Townsfolk at all? I know it clashes with Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , but its really good noms for your champions, both of them. On that note, Thatcher Revolt is the best noms. Have you considered red? I guess i don't know if you're trying to make this aggro or midrange.

Check out this deck The Kessig Township, its my feature deck with human aggro, and i have repeatedly been able to route other aggro decks. (turn 4/5 wins are consistent) However, its an all or nothing deck.

Let me know what you think. +1 for you :)

I've considered going more aggressive with it, but although I'm usually playing multiplayer it holds its own most of the time in 1v1.
