The Format

The build as shown right now is intended for competitive 20 Life French Duel Commander.

If you are interested in building this deck, but want to use it for MULTIPLAYER instead, then rest assured - both is possible. ANY cards from the SIDEBOARD (depending on your Meta) are suitable replacements for...

  • Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

  • Sylvan Primordial

  • Primeval Titan

The Sideboard consists of cards that used to linger in this deck and are currently removed for testing purposes of new additions. It will be cleaned out over time to only hold the additions that have carried their weight for the Meta they had been in.

e.g. Loaming Shaman vs Graveyard Shenanigans like Drana or Meren

Nylea's Disciple vs Hard Aggro

Leyline of Lifeforce vs Talrand, Gin Gitaxias or Jeskai Control

Gameplay

For this deck Sachi is the Manabase. She will use other Shamans to pump Mana so that by the time she's in (ideally) Turn 3 or 4 you can potentially create a mana pool of roughly 10 to summon big creatures or lay down half of the deck with a Primal Surge. Having an Ulamog's Crusher by Turn 4 is entirely feasible.

This Deck offers plenty of Toolbox options to deal with your opponent's deck or can follow a very self-centered aggro plan, depending on your opponent and current board position. All in all though, a great sum-up for this would be "ramp and draw cards". It was initially built as a Duel Commander (during the 30 Life Timespan), but has proven to work exceptionally well in Multiplayer games as well. Shamans aren't essentially perceived as a huge threat compared to the early-game positions of other players and are usually not dealt with in-time - until they go boom.

Synergies

Temur Sabertooth Engine:

Temur Sabertooth also acts as a Boardwipe Protection for your important Pieces such as Fauna Shaman, Tajuru Preserver or Sachi. Shamans can tapp into their own bounce-fee.

BIG Ramp with Paradox Engine:

The new spells you cast will scale up your Creature Strenght and/or Devotion, so you'll be able to tap them for even more Mana again and again and again and again.
Also remember: Planar Bridge unttaps as well!

Suggestions

Updates Add

They just don't want Emrakul to see the show, do they?

She takes her Sponsor friends and makes way for the following:

LEAVES / COMES

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn -> Upwelling

Primeval Titan -> Lifecrafter's Bestiary

Sylvan Primordial -> Forest

I thought long about alternatives from the Sideboard, but I figure that maybe this could be my chance to stabilize this deck with a couple more slots. Also Upwelling is an old new card that I once had, not understood, gave away, newly acquired and now want to try out :)
