We're bringing Mono Red back! Well, sort of. Ever since Lightning Bolt rotated out of Standard, Mono Red has needed all the help it can get. Luckily for all of us red mages, help is here! Slag Fiend has the potential to get really really large, especially when paired with Faithless Looting. Just discard artifacts, and the Fiend grows quickly. Also, for the games when the Fiend can't get the job done, you can also play your artifacts! Cards with Metalcraft like Galvanic Blast make this good, but what's even better? Being able to sacrifice artifacts to something like Artillerize which will take a big chunk out of the opponent's life total while pumping Slag Fiend! And, finally, to make this even more attractive, none of your artifacts cost more than two mana! A fun, skill intensive deck, bring Mono Red Artifacts to your next FNM!
