THE PITCH

An affinity shell with the expensive Mox Opal and Arcbound Ravager removed in favor of an aggro strategy with Bomat Courier and cheap to play and equip equipment. This limits the sideboarding options and makes the deck all in aggro, but it also reduces the cost by an order of magnitude. The sideboard is still a work in progress.

MAIN DECK (differences from Affinity)

• Bomat Courier is at its best in a cheap aggressive deck like this where it can grab 2 - 3 cards. If it gets destroyed on sight, oh well, they used removal on a 1 CMC 1/1.
• Shuko and Bonesplitter are cheap to play and equip pump equipment.
• Grafted Wargear is amazing pump for the equip cost.
• Ghostfire Blade is a mostly better version of Bonesplitter , but it has a heavy equip cost on Vault Skirge since it's a black creature.
• Postmortem Lunge is a cheeky reanimation spell that's a great surprise for decks with a lot of removal. The look on your opponent's face as you kill them with a reanimated Ornithopter or Gingerbrute is priceless ;)

SIDEBOARD

• Bone Saw can be used against decks with little removal to help hit metalcraft faster for Galvanic Blast or a bigger Cranial Plating . It makes the deck even more aggressive but weakens the mid-game with its equip cost.
• Etched Champion slows the deck down a bit, but can help a lot against removal heavy decks. I believe regular affinity also uses it for this reason.
• Scrap Trawler and Myr Retriever can also be used against removal heavy decks to buy back artifacts.
• Stonecoil Serpent can make the deck more defensive. (I'm not the best at designing sideboards, so suggestions are appreciated)

COMMENTS ON PLAYTESTING

• The deck feels a bit like boggles with all of the equipment.
• 1 land opening hands are a bit sketchy, but are often fine with enough 0 and 1 drops.
• Gingerbrute is a little nuts, a colorless 1/1 haste that can gain pseudo-unblockable is a great place to put equipment.
