The point of the deck is to keep the board clean and use the following win-cons:
-Repeatedly use Jaya Ballard's "ultimate"
-Utrava Hellkite
-Koth of the Hammer
-Chandra, Torch of Defiance
-Inferno Titan
-
Price of Progress
There is also a secondary artifact recursion theme. I use artifacts to make up for the places where red lacks (card draw and enchantment destruction.) Daretti, Scrap Savant and Trash for Treasure help with graveyard recursion.
Artifacts:
Sword of the Animist is an auto-include in every mono-color deck I build, and works great with Valakult
Darksteel Plate and Sword of War and Peace so Jaya can protect herself
Batterskull so we can gain a crazy amount of life with Jaya
and with Basilisk Collar her second ability turns her into a sniper
Illusionist's Bracers so we can get multiple abilities
Swiftfoot Boots to keep Jaya safe along with Hammer of Purphorous to give her haste
Ruby Medallion, Gilded Lotus, Sol Ring, and Hedron Archive for mana
Journeyer's Kite
for ramp and ammo for Jaya
Crystal Ball
to help filter the draws, and it works well with Druidic Satchel
Mind's Eye and Staff of Nin for card draw
Caged Sun so we can use more and more mana
Glaring Spotlight
to take care of hexproofed creatures
Spine of Ish Sah takes care of pesky permanents, specifically enchantments
Liquimetal Coating to make targets for Smash to Smithereens
Distorting Lens turns any permanent blue, that way we can target it with Jaya's first ability
Enchantments:
Widespread Panic
and
Stranglehold
to deal with opponent's tutors/fetches
Burning Earth
punishes greedy mana-bases
Planeswalkers:
Daretti, Scrap Savant lets us draw cards, pitch artifacts to the graveyard for his second ability and Trash for Treasure
Koth of the Hammer gives us mana, and his ultimate is a win-con
Chandra, Torch of Defiance for her exile ability and mana on a stick, and her ultimate is another win-con
Instants and Sorceries
Lightning Bolt, Skullcrack and
Price of Progress
good burn spells for EDH
Smash to Smithereens deals with artifacts and burns
Chaos Warp for damn enchantments red has trouble with
Ruination because we don't run a lot of non-basics, and this can kill some other decks
Gamble a tutor in red. For 1. And we can fill up our graveyard with artifacts
Mizzium Mortars so my opponents don't get creatures
Blasphemous Act as a boardwipe
Tormenting Voice card draw, plus we can discard an artifact or even Fiery Justice
Anger of the Gods is another mini-boardwipe
Trash for Treasure lets us recur the artifacts we discard
Reforge the Soul card draw
Past in Flames we can cast all the cards we discarded with Jaya now!
and Reverberate lets us do all that multiple times!
Creatures
Godo, Bandit Warlord normally used to grab either Sword of War and Peace and Darksteel Plate so Jaya survives her ultimates
Pia and Kiran Nalaar they create artifact tokens for us to sacrifice or use as chump blockers. Their second ability is relevant, too
Kumano, Master Yamabushi
is a great mana-sink, and becomes a sniper with Basilisk Collar
Combustible Gearhulk draw 3 cards, or fill up our graveyard
Charmbreaker Devils helps us reuse the instants and sorceries in our graveyard
Solemn Simulacrum amazing all-around card
Squee, Goblin Nabob helps us get around Jaya's "downside"
Inferno Titan mana-sink and win-con
Harsh Mentor pings opponents
Pilgrim's Eye is an artifact for us to sacrifice, and the land can be used as ammo for Jaya
Magmatic Force a Lightning Bolt every upkeep, AND it survives Jaya's ultimate!
Chandra's Phoenix
and
Firewing Phoenix
is reusable ammo for Chandra, similar to Squee
Varchild's War-Riders
a 3/4 for 1R with trample and a way to get around its downside (Rampage: 1)
Stuffy Doll hit an opponent for 12 when using Jaya's ultimate, 3 when we cast Anger of the Gods, 13 when we cast Blasphemous Act. I like him
Burnished Hart helps us ramp early on, plus we get 2 Valakult triggers for only 3!
Anger it should be easy to get him into the graveyard, and once he's there he's never leaving
