Rhonas was literally built for fighting. Deathtouch guarantees he'll kill anything he fights, and indestructible keeps him from martyring himself to take down a massive threat; he just shakes it off and looks for another bitch to slap.

This deck is built to utilize Rhonas by letting him do what he does best, namely by using him as a board wipe turn after turn by suiting him up with a Lure variant. "Quick, everybody block the big snake guy that can't be killed and can kill any one of us with a single point of damage!" We also have a plethora of fight spells to remove those pesky creatures that refuse to be lured for whatever reason (they're tapped, they just can't block, etc.) The rest of the deck is just ramp, card draw and big fat dumb guys to beat face with.

Ok, I lied, there's a lot more thought put into this deck then just "here derp big green creatures". Most of the creatures provide additional support to the deck as a whole, by offering artifact/enchantment removal, regrowing spells, playing extra lands, drawing cards and protecting my team. Only a select few are here explicitly for their massive beefsteak bods.
