pretty sweet. I hate dungrove elder with a passion but thats just because I've only been on the receiving end of his blows. with rancor he is just freakin rediculous. +1 for the insane build. A great thing that I've seen in mono green decks right now is a singleton of Bellowing Tanglewurm . It's an amazing finisher because you zenith it out turn 6 and make everything sudo-unblockable. I would def. think about that. Go check out my deck please!

Oh and I would think about Predator Ooze . It's really hard to deal with for alot of decks. It's at least a good sideboard thought.

UGplayerWillie,

Thanks for the comments and glad you like it. Yeah dungrove is rediculous. I used to use Bellowing Tanglewurm
but it always seemed like by the time I could use it I had such a large field I am going to win anyways or I am going to lose. Thragtusk
just seems to good to pass up. A 2-1 is always good and I have a feeling that putting Rancor
on it will be very good. I will have to see. Im playing a tourny this friday so ill post my score. I had also thought about Predator Ooze
. I think that may be the dungrove replacer once rotation hits. I've never thought about it as a sideboard though. Will consider.

Ya im assuming garruk is in your sb for control matchup ( cuz hes pretty much useless otherwise: he comes too late). I would think about switching garruk for ooze. I think it would be more benificial for that matchup anyways. DoJ is just funny to you then

Yeah he's in there for control. Although I rarely use him because no one really plays control and I dont currently own a ooze so that was just a 1 spot filler but I see your point.

I should say plays control where I play

July 17, 2012 11:55 p.m.

I knew what u meant. theres only like 2 people at my fnm that play control but one of them is one of my friends that comes with us and he usually places 1st or 2nd so... he plays esper superfriends which is freakin rediculous

I am curious why you are running Garruk Relentless  Flip over Garruk, Primal Hunter . In my experience primal hunter has been much more useful and relentless has been too risky, although I am playing a ramp deck, deck:dungroves-slaves if you want to check it out. Also, think about adding in Rampant Growth or even better Solemn Simulacrum to get more forests out there for your dungroves. Also, why do you have card:Avacyn's Pilgrim in there with no white spells? Great deck though, love the dungroves. +1

? primal hunter is pretty terrible... relentless offers removal, creatures, and tutoring. I assume the single pilgrim is for a pretty much guaranteed first turn mana dork.

In my experience I have had much more success with primal hunter to tell you the truth. I originally like relentless a lot more but I find it very hard to get him set up and flipped before my opponent takes care of him. At least with primal hunter you can draw cards if you know that your opponent is taking care of him next turn. I guess primal hunter just works better in my deck because by the time I can use his ultimate I usually have around 10-12 forests up, so his ultimate wins for me.

Ugplayer pretty much explained it. Its allot more reliable to get since I am not ramping besides my one drops which is why pilgrim is in there to get the guarantee 1 drop ramp.

sentinel spider or silklash for board against delver decks

July 30, 2012 11:35 p.m.

Although now you could switch that pilgrim for an Arbor Elf

Haha true. I've found that the white makes no difference but I might as well.

Perhaps Ulvenwald Tracker for... basicly not allowing your opponents to have creatures... ever?

I personally wouldn't run card:Garruk's Companion, it doesn't look good to me, besides, with 9 1-mana accelerants, you're likely to skip the 2-mana mark, aren't you? And in the cases you aren't, Strangleroot Geist seems better

Revenge of the Hunted for random wins?

I used to play tracker but never used him. The only thing I would ever need to kill are flyers "delver" which is taken card of by garruk. A 3/2 trample is a pretty nice early drop cause I always want to see either a 1 drop mana accelerator or a two drop and companion is the best two drop besides geist.

And as far as hunted i don't like eot pumps. The miracle doesn't make it worth it and plus i dont like random win cards.
