First time brewing. :)

This is a slightly different pauper mono black. It uses many of the typical removal spells, and Grumag Angler. The card that I wanted to build this deck to use is Crypt Rats. It's ability pay x swamps to deal x damage to each creature and each is powerful, when played correctly. This is where Dark Ritual comes in pay on Black to get 3 Black is awesome. Use it to pay for Crypt Rats' ability + what ever other swaps you can tap. Dark Ritual is great to pay for Grumag when you can dredge.

Deck cost was a little under 12 tickets with MTGO Tradders.

I was originally brewing a rat tribal deck for pauper to play on MTGO. However, Pestilence Rats is not available online. I could be played with paper btw. I would have removed one Liliana's Specter and both Gray Merchants to play 3 Pestilence Rats.

Pestilence Rats would be a great turn 3 providing you got a few one drop Rats (with deathtouch idealy) to slow Pestilence Rats to attack for 3. I would continue to pump it attack from there when other Rats enter the battle field.
