Sideboard

A little expreiment of mine to see if hand disruption is a viable strategy. When I saw Lupine Prototype I was super excited to see if it worked... a 5/5 for 2 needs to at least be tested.

This is a Mono-black control-ish deck that uses creatures like Thought-Knot Seer and Distended Mindbender to not only be powerful threats but also stop the opponent being able to respond. It includes a few interesting interactions. Combos like Lupine Prototype + Tormented Thoughts allow for massive card advantage to be gained early in the game. Also, it is useful to know that emerging a Distended Mindbender from a Thought-Knot Seer allows you to stack the triggers such that the opponent draws a card before you look at their hand.

Sideboarding gives us various options against many decks in the format. Delirium and grindy matchups can be overcome by the overpriced but extremely effective Hedonist's Trove, ground-based aggro strategies succumb quickly to Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and Languish and company decks struggle against the massive amount of removal we can side in alongside the early game disruption.

The deck right now that I'm having real trouble against is Spirits. The combination of aggressive fliers and counter magic is tough for this deck to handle... Any suggestions would be very welcome :)

Please comment on what you think and ways that this could improve to become competitive. Thanks :)
