Well well, any damage yet??
This deck started as a wild discussion of how to abuse athreos and in 30 minutes the form of this deck came into being. God of metal!
- Athreos, God of Passage it's a bömb! Vexing Devil suddenly got good. Otherwise, cheap, efficient and aggro.
- Vexing Devil A true daredevil. Much pain with athreos.
- Ball Lightning Attacking with this and then cast fling is clearly not so fun for your opponent. Then imagine having Whip of Erebos on the battlefield...
- Butcher of the Horde Is a new addition to this deck. I believe it has a strong potential because of it's diversity. In the most cases you can pick an ability that helps you; to have vigilance, gain life or make an immediate attack.
- Hellspark Elemental Is the thing between Vexing Devil and Ball Lightning . Sudden burn and unearth for low cost is great before you can cast the whip.
- Blood Artist May seem a bit odd. Perhaps he is. Will probably leave this deck in favor of something better. Still quite nice for chump-blocking and extorting at each death.
- Whip of Erebos Is the new-found friend. Very good for abusing all the poor little things in your graveyard. Lifelink is also not so bad since the fetches hurt quite a lot.
- Shriekmaw a Terror in creature form, this is also a new addition to the deck. Hopefully we don't need much removal spells in the deck with this.
- Path to Exile deals with the most things in modern without too much drawback. Any deck running white in modern should consider this card. Second to Lightning Bolt .
- Lightning Bolt , one of the most well-known burn spells in mtg history and finally it found a place in this deck. I had Lightning Helix here previously but I removed it because I wanted a lower mana curve and I've not planned to depend on any life gain.
- Spark Elemental is lightning bolt but in creature form, i.e. fast and effective.
- Porphyry Nodes is a fast and very aggressive card that easily takes control over the battlefield, shutting down any opposition.
Sideboard: Can't say much here. NEED A LOT of WORK to be good. Since sideboarding on tappedout isn't that easy I leave this field to be taken up to someone who can playtest this deck irl or on some other website.
