THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

UR Storm has the most cards on the ban list, barring affinity because of the 5 artifact lands. With the ban of our wonderous Gitaxian Probe, all storm players wept. As an archetype, storm has always been the target of hate from WotC seeing as it is one of the most feared mechanics ever. The following deck breakdown is of my Thing Ascension list that I've been playing for almost 7 months (albeit I used to play Gitaxian Probe, RIP in pieces).

Thing Ascension was a variant of UR Storm that began popping up in the year leading up to the Probe ban, and while affected by the ban, I personally do not believe the deck is dead. Losing Probe sucks and takes away the hyper explosive start of T3 flipped Thing in the Ice   or active Pyromancer Ascension, but the deck is still quite resilient and powerful.

The deck has two plans in the main deck unlike regular storm: beatdown with a flipped Thing in the Ice   and a Bedlam Reveler or storming out with an active Pyromancer Ascension with a million Lightning Bolts and Lightning Helixes.

You cast some spells and do some stuff.
