Mishra, Artificer Prodigy ?Maybe just one or two copies of him I guess, I'm not all that in to Modern. He also does get your metalcraft so much faster if you can get him out. Also, his stats are pretty good, a 4/4 for 4 doesn't sound bad to me.
Did you consider Lodestone Golem or Etherium Sculptor ?
Skeleton Shard Broodstar any of the artifact lands from mirrodin such as Seat of the Synod card:Golem's Heart would all benefit your deck
Artifact lands are banned in modern. And none of the suggestions are needed for this deck, as it is as fast as can be.
You should, though, trade Gemstone Mine for a few Glimmervoid , in my opinion.
Are you kidding? Vedalken Archmage costs a bit of mana but would speed this deck up considerably. Skeleton Shard would keep his artifacts from dying, especially when coupled with Voltaic Key . card:Golem's Heart would give him life every time an artifact came out. And Broodstar would be a powerful flyer for two mana.
On 2 or 3 mana you should lay down an Etched Champion , a Master of Etherium or a Steel Overseer .
If he wants to gain life and/or hit hard, he can always do it with Vault Skirge and Cranial Plating .
Those cards would actually slow down the deck, and while they can work, they are not what this deck aims to do: modern affinity should have everything in the battlefield by turn 2 or 3 and hit as hard as it can as fast as it can. Very often win through Inkmoth Nexus and Cranial Plating , too.
These are my two cents, at least. :)
Bacheleren is correct. The other suggestions would slow the deck down considerably and push out the wins a turn or two, which is not an option when playing affinity. With my current list, turn 3 wins are possible, and I win on turn 4 consistently. Turn 5 is slow, and I'm usually going over the top or pushing for infect at that point because something has happened to slow the game down or make the damage to life approach improbable.
Your not playing affinity.... Thoughtcast is the only card with affinity in this deck. Its also not always about winning on turn 3. What happens if plan a fails? Infect is a great idea but..... you don't seem very confident in your contingency plan. Throwing those cards in there would not only give you, in my opinion, a stronger backup plan ((albeit slower)) but a more fun plan. Imagine having an archmage or two out, then start pumping out half your deck in one turn. But suit yourself.
You could also consider Shrapnel Blast in place of Galvanic Blast , its costs are a bit higher, but it could be faster to win with that, and sacrificing an extra Mox wouldn't be troublesome at all.
Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas should be in here regardless. refilling your hand with his +1 is great. and -1 for a 5/5 creature aint too shabby. and his -4 is a game winner. trust me. you NEED to find room for at least 1-2.
