aether vial is a very good in goblins i'd consider it
December 11, 2012 5 p.m.
i had Aether Vial, and it just didn't work that well in here. i'm running 26 1 drops. 99% of the time, i have enough land open to pretty well dump my hand.
December 11, 2012 5:11 p.m.
Umm i might be missing something but why 4x Cavern of Souls
December 25, 2012 4:11 p.m.
control is very rampant in my area. and even when i don't play against a control deck, i'm still getting the red mana that i need
December 25, 2012 4:13 p.m.
Ahh, gotcha. I understand the use of it. Just didn't see the use of four of them, but seeing as its a mono-colored, i don't think its a bad idea. +1 from me.
December 25, 2012 4:16 p.m.
The deck is sobbing that there is no Goblin Piledriver
January 27, 2013 10:19 p.m.
yes, it is. Piledriver would make this deck an unstoppable force
January 27, 2013 10:21 p.m.
This deck looks great, and the best part, I have almost everything!
May 2, 2013 5:35 p.m.
Um, no it's not. Goblin Piledriver is from Onslaught, which isn't Modern legal.
July 8, 2013 4:36 p.m.
I meant to say isn't. I shouldn't use this site on my phone. :P
July 9, 2013 10:02 p.m.
I would suggest Shared Animosity at it makes each of your goblins mini-piledrivers.
I don't know your meta, but I see a lot of Tron and Pod decks in mine, so I mainboard 3 copies of Bloodmoon.
September 9, 2013 1:56 p.m.
Totally agree with Swarthy1 about the Shared Animosity . Also, what about Krenko's Command or Dragon Fodder in stead of Krenko, Mob Boss and Warren Instigator ? Those cards are good, but your hand will already be empty and Krenko, Mob Boss is either too slow or a win more. (maybe keep in sideboards?)
Check out my build at the moment, and let me know what you think: Goblin Aggro

Okay, this may sound like a stupid question but: Why are there fetch lands in the deck?
October 8, 2013 12:04 a.m.
fetch lands will thin out the deck and get u more creatures to play.
November 3, 2013 1:37 a.m.
November 3, 2013 1 p.m.
To thin the land out of the deck to get better draws.
January 23, 2014 7:57 p.m.
Goblin King? It's not that good, but it's another lord. (It is modern legal, as it was in tenth edition.)

I personally would replace Arid Mesa and Scalding Tarn with Blackcleave Cliffs and Dragonskull Summit and take out the goblin bushwhackers and add an extra goblin king and chieftain while also adding two warren instigators. You may also benefit from replacing Mogg War Marshal with Krenko's Command but thats just my possibly flawed opinion. Also, could you guys and gals please check out my decks http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/lovely-goblins and http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/hip-goblins while also leaving some friendly advise :)

I've seen a lot of people with Mutavault in their goblin deck, although I'd discourage more than 3 colorless mana sources this heavy red deck.
August 31, 2014 5:01 p.m.
rabble rabble rabble, Goblin Rabblemaster is a less powerfull goblin piledriver, but you know what, he feels bad about that so he brought all his friends along too
October 18, 2014 11:17 p.m.
I've actually playtested with Rabblemaster. I just didn't like the feel of him in this deck. Any time I had him on board, I felt that Shared Animosity would have been better. That's just my opinion, though.

Gotta have those Piledrivers! What are your thoughts on Goblin Rabblemaster? Too slow?
July 7, 2015 10:51 a.m.
Krenko is too slow. That also makes Coat of Arms way too slow. I'm usually winning turn 4 with this deck.
I have tried Rabblemaster, and I found it doesn't suit this deck. It may with Piledriver, though. I'll give it another try.
July 9, 2015 8:39 p.m.
If Piledriver comes in it makes Rabblemaster that much better. A T3 Rabble master after a T2 Piledriver can get really bonkers and is the next best choice if Goblin Chieftain isn't available from my experiences playing a similar deck.
July 28, 2015 5:50 a.m.
Why not a 1 of Contested War Zone?
Also I think splashing Green would help. That gives you access to Atarka's Command in the main and Destructive Revelry in the SB. I also swapped out Shared Animosity with Beastmaster Ascension. It gives the deck more reach and each card played after a wrath is dangerous by itself.
August 4, 2015 3:28 p.m.
I would suggest Foundry Street Denizens, maybe over some Legion Loyalists, as they are a fast ang aggresive one drop. Also, Simian Spirit Guide for quicker starts. Think about turn one Mountain, then Simian Spirit Guide into 2 Goblin Guides.

Forget all this 'splash this' and 'splash that'. Splashing to another colour with goblins isn't a good choice at all and it doesn't make you look any more pro by using a second colour. Wether its standard, modern or legacy goblins should be red red red. So in an ideal world youll run three mutavault and three or four aether vial. Mutavault as you'll have more goblins on the field being pumped by your lords but beware of running four colourless lands as you don't want to burn yourself in the opening hand with no red sources. AEther Vial because its the single best accelerant for tribal decks in the game. Its free to charge up and you can drop goblins at instant speed for emergency blockers and goblins squirting out of the vial cannot be countered. +1 just cos your a goblin lover.
January 2, 2016 3:54 p.m.
plus if you have the cash id play Blood Moon as the enchantment as there are practically zero tier modern decks out there that use only basics. It hoses any form of control and slows down any other aggro decks. plus it gives you fabulous synergy with Goblin King.
