Probably because you only get the boost on their turn which isn't that good when you are playing an overly aggressive deck like this. (I know he would get pumped by instants but still, letting an opponent choose when to give a creature a buff isn't all that great here.)

23 lands sounds absolutely awful in this deck. I can play nearly anything with 2 mana, and I have a 64% chance of hitting my third Mountain on turn 3 to play Goblin Chieftain . Playing any more lands increases my chances of stalling the early turns by drawing too many lands.
Definitely going to try Flingin' it in some limited format. :D
And I agree that 20 lands here is probably the sweet spot with such an incredibly low mana curve. In fact, I'd be worried about emptying my hand by turn 3 then going into top-deck mode for the rest of the game. Maybe Dangerous Wager for such occasions?
is simply fantastic in a deck like this.
