Sideboard

There is a lot of excitement for the new card Fraying Sanity and for good reason. A game winning combo that can be achieved turn 5 with no ramp required is nothing to sneeze at.

Here is my take on a mill deck which includes ways to defend yourself until the combo goes off. These methods include counterspells like engulf the shores, Unsummon, and Mana Leak to keep aggro strategies at bay. Wall of Frost and Jace's Phantasm are two more ways to defend from creature damage.

The inclusion of Evolving Wilds makes Hedron Crab all the more valuable.

The main win conditions of this deck are Fraying Sanity, Startled Awake   , and Archive Trap.

The ideal turn sequence would probably be-

Turn 1+2- Serum Visions to clean up draws, Hedron Crab for backup mill incase the combo isn't found immediately and a potential chump blocker, or Jace's Phantasm

Turn 3- Fraying Sanity

Turn 4- Startled Awake   or another Fraying Sanity
(The effects of Fraying Sanity stack.)

Turn 5- (Win) Traumatize, Startled Awake   or Archive Trap

Any Turn- Archive Trap can be player for free if an opponent searches thru their library. That includes cracking a fetch land.

Comments and Critiques are appreciated as this deck is not perfect and there are many viable options.
Thanks for viewing my take on the new Mill in Mondern!
