My current Mizzix build. In this current iteration, I increased the number of mana rocks and cut cards that are not significant enough (Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Opt).

Gameplan

This deck is a combo-control build. While we try to win with a combo, we do not have enough consistency (ie Tutors) to achieve this early in the game. Thus, we aim to control the game first. This has two purposes. First of all, our opponents will have a harder time to win. Second, Counterspells (and draw spells to stay in the game) slowly increase our experience counters, allowing for more spells and "unlocking" our combos.

Wincon 1

Cards: Lightning Bolt + Pyretic Ritual + Reiterate

Minimum mana open:

Tutor: Muddle the Mixture → Merchant Scroll → Firemind's Foresight

Description: This is a "traditional" Mizzix wincon. We cast Pyretic Ritual and hold priority. Then we cast Reiterate, targeting Pyretic Ritual. We let the Reiterate and the copy resolve. So far, we are at parity (spent and gained ). However, each additional Reiterate nets us (costs gains ). We can then cast Lightning Bolt while Pyretic Ritual is still on the stack and copy it an arbitrary number of times, killing our opponents.

Alternatives:

Pyretic Ritual → Turnabout: It requires us enough mana from a single permanent type, but doesn't require our commander, if we can spend an initial and each copy nets us at least (with one mana less, we still have infinite storm count).

Lightning Bolt → Any spell that targets an opponent: Bolt only fits nicely in our tutor chain.
