I recently became aware of a great new mill combo since the release of Ixalan, and I built a Standard deck list around it: Sanity Swallower (Budget Standard).

The problem is that I really only play EDH. So this is meant to be something of an adaptation of that deck idea.

The combo is Fleet Swallower + Fraying Sanity . Curse an opponent with the latter, attack with the former, and they are toast. Traumatize can also work pretty well in place of Fleet Swallower.

The other great KO combo is Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank . Duskmantle Guildmage, of course, works great with every other mill card in the deck too.

You can also get someone with Spell Crumple + Tunnel Vision .

As long as you're milling, why not mill yourself too? If you do, Psychic Spiral can be a killer. And then there's Laboratory Maniac, because ... Laboratory Maniac.

There are a ton of other great mill cards in the deck as well, not least of which being your faithful commander Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker.

Unfortunately, this deck came out a bit pricier than I had hoped, but I guess you could always spin it that the total price still only about $1/card. You could talk yourself into that if you really wanted to.

And, in my defense, there were quite a few other great cards that I left out because they were just too expensive. So this isn't too bad for a deck that has several ways to instant-KO its opponents by milling them.
