There aren't a lot of tribal lords or anthem effects in pauper, but my favorite tribe has one. Anaba Spirit Crafter is an oldie, but gave me enough of a reason to bring this tribe to pauper.
The basic idea is to use Grisly Survivor in combination with Faithless Looting, Cathartic Reunion, and a bunch of cycle effects to get in for a ton of damage. The back up plan is to just swarm with minotaurs and drop the spirit crafter to win the game. Dirge of Dread is good for either strategy because you can cycle it to pump the survivor and give it fear, or make your whole board harder to block if going wide. It is a pretty basic idea, but better than you would expect.
The second great combo is Spinehorn Minotaur plus Fists of Flame which can hit super hard after all the cycling.
Deadshot Minotaur is in there against delver as well as the cycle, and Anaba Ancestor can protect your minotaurs from Lightning Bolt.
This is a work in progress, but really fun to play.
any advice as I tinker to make minotaurs work in pauper are much appreciated!

The new Jumpstart set is going to grant me one of my wildest dreams. I always thought that this deck just needs a good two drop to be effective and when they printed Target Minotaur into an unglued set...i thought I was being trolled. Really? They wait for an un set to print a minotaur that doesnt suck? is that the joke? Clearly it must have been...but in Jumpstart they have made a functional reprint at common and I couldn't be happier.
Lightning Visionary is the perfect addition to this deck. Prowess gives a buff every time you loot and gives us three legitimate threats with Spinehorn Minotaur and Grisly Survivor. This deck has gotten a lot of really great help this year and I am excited to take it back to FNM (as soon as the pandemic is over).
