After the Scars of Mirrodin block introduced infect, I decided to create an EDH deck based around poisoning. However, the block didnt include any ideal generals for an infect based deck, other than Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon and I didnt want to limit it to mono-black. The Mimeoplasm from the Devour the Power Commander deck inspired me to finish putting together the list, as it could become an infect creature itself and was in the right colours for a deck combining infect and proliferate.
