taking out slitherhead also added a havengul lich incase i need my cageboys abilities
Ok so I went 2-2 tonight. One match I sort of derped and lost due to user error. Instead of buying back Gnaw to the Bone s I had brought out a Kessig Cagebreakers , causing my Izzet opponent to do a perfect amount of damage to finish me off where I thought I had one more turn. 2 of my opponents I utterly crushed, completely exploding my battlefield with overwhelming force and causing their hopes to be shattered below me. The other 2 were 1-2 losses, the one where I made a miscalculation on their sorcerous potential, the other due to their super-fast Rakdos speed and hidden morbid effects. I was running with this exact deck but had replaced the 3x Dream Twist with Growing Ranks and 2x Garruk Relentless Flip . I realized Growing Ranks was worthless so I swapped it and a Slitherhead out for the Gnaw to the Bone s. Those cards, in my opinion, should always be mainboard. Because of Rakdos and Izzet's speed, flexibility, and popularity, as well as the time it takes for this deck to start snowballing. It can be countered by big flyers with buffs, so it's necessary to have that extra turn or two survival (+20-ish life) after taking some abuse to flood the board or fling a Splinterfright once you've exhausted your ramp on it. I won one of my games with 1 health remaining. I do think though, that Sundering Growth is a necessary sideboard card. It saved my ass against that Izzet opponent in our second game due to his unrelenting card:Runechanter's Pike. It also managed to supply me with an extra blocker dog from Garruk Relentless Flip . There are so many decks out there that rely on artifacts and enchantments to get them through the game and the ability to shut that down while bolstering your forces is priceless. There are also other meta sideboard cards to consider, such as Witchbane Orb (since there's so much direct target damage flowing from Rakdos). All in all, this deck was very fun to play, completely out of the meta but still very effective, and leaves your opponents worried the second they see how much you're milling, and WHAT you're milling. Mind you, this is at Card Kingdom in Seattle so this FNM had about 40 attendees and they're all quite competitive. Spiders, wolves, flingers ftw. :] Now on to work on my own weirdness. Great work, Patrique.

Honestly sideboard is difficult with this deck Id reccomend, add some destroy artifacts and enchantment and take out dream twist, the deck has enough mill on its own! I also like throwing in my 2 garruk for the second game as well taking out golgari lich lord! Thanks for the feedback kingl4d
