Maybeboard

Infinite or close gimmicks. Looking for at least one of the primary components and a tutor to build the infinite combo parts.

Okay, so, this hits either as infinite combo or artifact board wipe or mill. Infinite combo is inelegant, Paradox Engine + a handful of mana rocks + Capsize, Whispers of the Muse, or Mind Peel. Return target permanent to its owner's hand, draw a card, or opponent chooses a card to discard.

Alternate win condition: Darksteel Forge +Mycosynth Lattice + Nevinyrral's Disk. All permanents are artifacts, all my artifacts are indestructible, destroy all artifacts.

Alternate win condition: Oona, Queen of the Fae + any large setup of mana, try Paradox Engine + buyback for any of her faeries minus what it takes to buyback, or just go max every opponent's turn with Unwinding Clock. She is brute force exile opponent's library for u/b and . I exile your library, and build my board state up with 1/1 faeries.

Alternate win condition: Hostage Taker + mana rocks + Paradox Engine + Vedalken Mastermind or Temporal Adept. Steal your creatures, with possible infinite loop of stealing creatures with hostage taker.

Alternate wincon: Visara the Dreadful/Avatar of Woe or Vampire Nighthawk and Viridian Longbow + Thornbite Staff. Oh, what a nice army you have. Oh, had.

Support cards: Erebos, God of the Dead, because he keeps opponents from gaining life and provides card draw.

Mana rocks!

Planar Bridge: because I'm greedy and recurring cheat into the battlefield hastens the possibility of an infinite combo. Then look for Darksteel Forge + Mycosynth Lattice + Padeem, Consul of Innovation. All my things are indestructible and hexproof, since local meta hates on artifacts and enchantments.

Behold the Beyond: I can get setup for my infinite combo immediately if I have enough rocks out and there's no hand-hate going around.

Option 1. Paradox Engine + mana rock that taps for 2 or 3 + Capsize. That infinite loops right there to put everything back into their owners hands, all permanents if not countered or not hexproof.

Option 2. Unwinding Clock + Mycosynth Lattice + Planar Bridge. Next turn untap and cheat in Darksteel Forge, then next player's turn cheat in Nevinyrral's Disk and tap to destroy all permanents that are not indestructible or protected somehow from Nevinyrral's Disk.

Option 3. Paradox Engine + Oona, Queen of the Fae + one of the cards with buyback. Infinite exile/bounce/discard all while making ub 1/1 faerie creature tokens. Slower version is Oona, Queen of the Fae + Unwinding Clock + Mycosynth Lattice.

Option 4. Hostage Taker + Temporal Adept + Paradox Engine or clock reset combo. I take all your creatures and artifacts.

Option 5. Thornbite Staff + tap to destroy creature, instant army board wipe, and lots of life gain if paired with Viridian Longbow + Vampire Nighthawk. That almost makes up for all the blocks to the face that this deck does.

Completed protection loop: Darksteel Forge + Mycosynth Lattice + Padeem, Consul of Innovation + Orbs of Warding. Then it becomes a search for one of the two main engines of infinite loopiness: Paradox Engine or Unwinding Clock, followed by a Planar Bridge or a tutor. Followed by a win! That's the plan, anyway. Winning is of course independent of getting all my permanents indestructable hexproof and myself hexproof, but that sure will be nice after all the hits to the face I'll likely endure beforehand.

Comments and suggestions welcome, especially from the perspective of playing nice and durdling until my board state is perfectly protected, then it's about searching for the wincon. Kinda depends on if I'm playing versus control and counters or agro and beat down. Going away from most of the mill hand hate I started with. While "fun", the reanimation tricks even when they hit well, couldn't keep board presence, so I got killed off quickly because of low efficiency, generally unkind to everyone board presence, and everyone hates mill.

So now I build mana rocks to ramp to artifact search to Darksteel Forge or padeem, innovation consul. Card cheats to the battlefield, tutors, pick a combo or needed tool while not making enemies. Then pounce. Mana rocks are not scary. Paradox Engine, that's scary, Unwinding Clock, that's almost as scary when everything is an artifact.

Against aggro beat down you search for any variety of infinite loop wincon or board wipes to stop them in their tracks. Against controlly board wipe search for protectcon elements and make it difficult for them to suffocate you.
