Lore-wise, milling is either insanity or drowning.

So let's make them all drown in their own tears.

So the deck: mill has always been an interesting and fun win-con for me. From that love was born my first ever (not pre-con) EDH deck.

The Story Behind The Deck (really TL;DR you should just skip to how it works)

The meta at my local card store is an interesting one; we have a lot of new and inexperienced players who come because they know someone who goes there, and we have people who have been playing since alpha with full sets of dual lands and such. Despite the unbalanced nature, people of all levels have fun as the powerful players will just sit back and not attack until provoked. It does provide a nice learning experience for everyone and everyone feels welcome back the next week for more fun. However, because of this style of play, games are often quite long and sometimes feel hopeless for the new players even when the experienced players aren't crushing everyone. So I decided to make change happen and this deck was born.

What I Want It To Do

This deck wants to mill. As with most Phenax, God of Deception decks, high toughness creatures are paired with mill spells that scale well into multiplayer and control/removal in order to deck someone as quickly as possible. It isn't supposed to be super powerful but instead to have fun and show new players that there is always room for creativity in this awesome game.

Key Cards

Let's talk combos. Phenax, God of Deception + Eater of the Dead make a pretty sweet two card combo. After hitting a creature heavy deck a few times it can win you the game. Another one is Bloodchief Ascension/Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank for an easy kill. Junktroller and Hinder provide utility while also setting up for the perfect Tunnel Vision. I tried to avoid any large deffenders without utility (such as Hover Barrier) instead opting for more lands/more utility. I also added ways to deal with people who want to use their graveyards or want to combo out quickly (see Combo Stop and Remove Recursion).

As always, feedback and suggestions are really appreciated! Make sure to leave a +1 if you like the idea! Thanks!

I have made some changes from the paper deck I own. Suggestions are much appreciated and if you think a card should be taken out or you question it's importance to the deck, please let me know!
