Trying to build a human tribal Morophon without breaking the bank. I got lucky and pulled a foil Morophon from a pack of MH1. I figured that the card gods are telling me to build a Morophon Commander Deck then. Morophon is key to this deck going off and this deck is built around him. Humans are a fairly cheap tribe, in both monetary and mana cost. The land base’s core were a bunch of different lands that I had on hand.

Setup

Jodah, Archmage Eternal + Morophon, the Boundless and Fist of Suns + Morophon, the Boundless

The first step of this deck is to get out some cheap chump blockers to buy time. Getting out accelerants or any sort of cost reduction for Morophon will only add fuel to the speed this deck goes off at. Once the big guy is out and humans are named, use a tutor like Worldly Tutor or Trophy Mage to tutor for Jodah or Fist of Suns (respectively). If either of these comes onto the field, all humans become free to cast via Morophon’s third ability.

Win Conditions

Cloudblazer + Cloudstone Curio + Elite Guardmage and Cloudstone Curio + Kessig Malcontent + Champion of Lambholt

Once the setup is complete, we now have the option to go infinite in a couple different ways. To get out some other winning combos, we can draw our entire deck with Elite Guardmage and Cloudblazer. We need to count out cards exactly, but for each total enter the battlefield trigger we will gain 4 life and 3 cards drawn. With deck in hand, we have a couple of different ways to kill opponents. Due to the free casting cost from our setup, we can bounce any other human and Kessig Malcontent back and forth infinately dealing one damage per enter trigger from the Malcontent. With Champion of Lambholt, we can bounce any other two humans back and forth to make the Champion have infinite Power and Toughness and unblockable.

One thing to be careful of is if your deck is in hand that no draw triggers occur. There are a bunch of utility enchantments and creature triggers that draw cards.

Utility

The rest of the deck consists of ways to shut down opponents, draw engines if you run out of gas, and protection for your own creatures.

I originally had the full cycle of Bringers in the deck, but I decided to take out the Bringer of the Green Dawn due to the fact that it didn’t aid the deck in the way I wanted. After some more edits, I am hoping to take out all of bringers. I still need replacements for the white and black dawn.

Mana Base Proxy

Mana Vault for Mind Stone Mana Crypt for Helm of Awaking

Suggestions?

The main thing I need help with is tuning the mana base or coming up with any infinite combos that take less cards.
