Just a good ol' fashioned midrange deck that can out value opponents through the best iteration one could make "The Rock" translate to EDH. This is my attempt to play a fair game of interactive magic, while keeping away from 2-3 card combos that end the game outright. Unfortunately, after many games of EDH, I've found that there are still a significant amount of infinite combos in this deck that can outright win the game. As much as I tried to curtail infinite combos, it just results in a bad deck that doesn't scale well. It's definitely more resistant than the run o' the mill glass cannon do-or-die combo deck, but significantly slower.

The general idea is, you want to control the board efficiently whilst presenting threats whenever you can and then recurring the same control/threat card you've been playing as that's how you can maintain card advantage. Do not dump too much into the graveyard lest your grave get exiled and you're left with nothing. Protecting your graveyard is a waste of time, don't bother trying to pillow fort it, instead, continuously recur the same removal/threat cards you've been playing until your opponents feel like it's getting out of hand and they feel the need to exile it (rule of thumb, keep 5-10 cards in a grave at all times and a sac outlet on the field open if you can). What I found with this deck is that over the course of a match, if all goes right, you're able to dictate the pace of the game by slowing it to a halt, and then pulling incremental advantage until it becomes insurmountable.

There's not much in the way of card draw in this deck, but we can remedy this by tutoring and sacing mindslicer, and wraths in the way of cataclysmic gear hulk bringing your opponents to have played effectively negative cards. Read up on some card advantage theory, it's not "Just" rhystic study that can net card advantage.

Win condition is overwhelm with value and Enter the battlefield and exit the battlefield effects.

(The high amount of basic lands is because of the non-basic punishment in meta, I might choose to up the count if it proves better to be a little less consistent vs. not having any lands working for me.)
