List of all pertinent spells that protect your commander from being targeted by spot removal in EDH.

What this includes:

• Instant speed spells that can give your commander hexproof, shroud, protection from a color of your choice, or protection from all colors at instant speed for 3 mana or less.
• Permanents of cmc X or less that always give your commander hexproof, shroud, protection from a color of your choice, or protection from all colors (as long as they're not creatures/auras or as long as they can return themselves to your hand), where X is 4 times the maximum number of permanents it can give the ability to.
• Permanents that can be sacrificed to give your commander hexproof, shroud, protection from a color of your choice, or protection from all colors for 2 mana or less.
• Instant speed spells that can change the target of a spell.

What this doesn't include:

• Creatures and auras that give hexproof, shroud, protection from a color of your choice, or protection from all colors unless they can return themselves to your hand, because creature board wipes are very common. Board wipes get rid of those permanents without being 1-for-1 trades
• Counterspells, because even though they can be good sometimes for anti spot removal, the fact that sometimes spot removal has the ability "~ can't be countered" (sometimes acquired, sometimes inherent) makes the cards on this list better suited for this task. In addition, sometimes it's hexproof is needed to stop abilities that target, making counterspells not as efficient either.
