Hello! Welcome to my Merieke Ri Berit deck list page.

The primary gameplan is to get Merieke Ri Berit into play along with ways to untap and protect her like Pemmin's Aura...turning her into a creature stealing, board controlling, murderer. Then the rest of the deck is filled with some of my favorite Esper control cards to seal the deal. You know like Batterskull on Dragonlord Ojutai with Forbid and Anguished Unmaking in hand.

The Ultimate Merieke Ri Berit Tech:

• If there are instant speed untap effects available (like Thousand-Year Elixir) when we want to tap Merieke Ri Berit to steal a creature, we can put an untap effect on the stack before the theft effect resolves, and then untap and retap her to steal another creature (before the first theft or its self destruct has resolved). It will always resolve the self destruct part before the theft part of each new untap effect. So each instant speed untap effect in play means another creature that can be stolen simultaneously each time we tap her. Thanks to ryeandjay for this extremely useful information.

• To keep the creatures you steal forever, you either need to blink them to make them forget they were stolen (like with Conjurer's Closet) or give them indestructible so they survive being destroyed by Merike's untapping trigger (like with Darksteel Plate or Hammer of Nazahn.

Ideas and Changes

I would say the area with most room for improvement is the quality of equipment. I don't own any "Swords of This and That". I'm looking to trade for them, but that's the best I can do for now.
