I'd like to be under the sea in a Mefolk's garden in the shade.... Merfolk are really good for tapping and untapping things and causing mischief in general and this deck seeks to capitalize on that. Bant colors may seem weird for a Merfolk deck, especially because there is only, what, three cards with green in here (though honestly I've found that making the land base like this evens out how I well I get even the main white and blue colors working). Glare of Subdual is a great card in general and fits perfect with Mefolk, but will be seen as the prime card here with the other combos. Judge of Currents and Stonybrook Schoolmaster go perfect with Glare of Subdual . The rest of the creatures play, to great effect, with tapping and untapping too. The other big card is Summon the School . This card works a lot like Sprout Swarm in that it can continually make tokens as long as you can pay the costs. I love this deck!

A Reason for the Green — April 3, 2013

I've finally added cards to give this deck a real reason to have green in it (apparently splashing green for only one card didn't seem like a good idea to most of you that commented). I've added a Prime Speaker Zegana that I got in a pack just a bit ago. She actually pulls her weight when I get her. I've added two Collective Blessings. I had one that from a pack that I wasn't using so I scrounged up another just for the lolz of it. Finally I added a Quest for Renewal that was sitting around in my extra cards pile. It's kind of an alternate Merrow Commerce that works really well. Hope everyone still likes the deck and I'll continue to make changes as time goes by.
