This has been my little pet project since the new commander set was released,with getting back to my roots sort of speak in golgari. The deck is built around Meren's ability which I find was the most powerful of the new commanders. I did accidentally build it such that it ended up being a control deck with different ways to kill, disrupt and generally make opponents miserable as well as possibly, while having a second library or hand in the graveyard. The deck can protect its key pieces from removal with sac effects, the only trouble ive had is versus antigrave cards, but the deck can still play around and remove them for the most part. Certain ways of mass grave removsl such are angel of finality, rakdos charm and bajoka bog are harder to deal with; the only out is really putting parts of the grave back in the deck which is hard just on finding slots for those effects: the main one at present is bow of nylea; which have become a stable in pretty much all my decks running green.

The deck started with the idea of playing on a forced suicide pact, which may seemed strange at first but i feel it still accomplishes that goal, most so if it can get a lock of sorts before people have a chace to react leaving them at the mercy of Meren and hertools of death. The recursion in the deck should be able to out match others save for an equally recursive deck or able to play around aspects of the decks control.

Some of the funniest things of this deck has done has been killing the table with a swarm of meek things, sacked things to wipe the board and drain the table to death and had meren actually beat someone to death because I was not allowed to kill my stuff with a sac outlet so i just beat people over the head with Meren.
